Rules
Please read PvP Tournament rules (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,6997.0.html) carefully before signing up.

The rules will be slightly different for this tournament.  With the lack of turnout at regular tournaments, we have decided to do an experiment to see if a "merged" tournament will draw a bigger group of participants than regular tournaments have in the past couple of weeks.  This may or may not be temporary depending on the results, but it will most likely last more than a week.  The basic rules regarding joining and matches still apply.  Timing will be the same, with brackets being made 5 minutes before the hour.  Prizes will be given out to the top 6 participants, not the top 4.  The losing players in the final 8 will enter a separate single elimination bracket to determine who finishes 5th and 6th.  Prizes will be:

1st	7,000 electrum + Nymph/Mark + Trophy (Forum Icon)
2nd	5,000 electrum + Nymph/Mark
3rd	4,000 electrum
4th	3,000 electrum
5th	2,000 electrum
6th	1,000 electrum

NOTE: people with less than 30 forum posts are not allowed to enter tournaments.

Special Rules
Upgraded cards are allowed, but not required.
No Shards.
Minimum deck size is 40 cards.
Decks may at most contain one rare per 10 cards in the deck. (4 rares at 40 cards)

Q: What about foil Chimera?
A: It doesn't count as a rare, since regular Chimeras can be bought in Bazaar, and the two versions have the same in-game functionality.

Oy, I won't be at this one.  Friday 6pm for me, I'll have just gotten home from work and stuff like that.  I really hate to miss the upgraded one, too, since those ones are the best ones.  Good luck to all of the participants

Yes every weeks rules change, and then we have a tourny every weeks ! The time change too

Okay, I was just confused because I am in Canada and Saturday is the 17th, and in North America, this tournament will be on Friday evening, and I had assumed that the devs were from the States somewhere, so there was a contradiction there, even factoring in time zones.  If we're going by GMT time, though, then it makes sense.  It's just a touch early for me to play though, since I'm on the western end of Canada.  I really wish I could though; it's basically an unrestricted upgraded tournament, since a 1 rare/10 card restriction is meaningless for the majority of decks.
