2nd	5,000 electrum + Nymph/Mark
3rd	4,000 electrum
4th	3,000 electrum
5th	2,000 electrum
6th	1,000 electrum

Players who lose their quarterfinal (Top 8) matches will compete for the 5th and 6th place prizes in a mini-tournament. Prize-eligible players (namely, ones in the top 8) who leave the tournament without notifying the Tournament Organizer of their intent are considered to have forfeited their match, and also their prize.

NOTE: Players with fewer than 15 forum posts are not allowed to enter tournaments. Spamming low-quality posts to reach the minimum post count needed to participate will not be tolerated.

Special Rules

• Upgraded cards and shards are allowed but not required and with restrictions.
• Every player must declare an element before tournament starts.
• If the deck does not include any Shards, you can only use cards that come from the declared element with EXACTLY 6 off-element cards.
• Shards can be used with restrictions:
  Only unupgrade Shards are allowed.
  You can only use 1 type of Shard in a deck.
  Your deck must include 18 unupgrade cards, AND
  For EVERY Shard from Group A you need to include 3 extra unupgrade cards in your deck.
  For EVERY Shard from Group B you need to include 2 extra unupgrade cards in your deck.
  Shards from Group C are banned.

Q: So, if you use a shard, any shard, you can use any elements you want?
A: Yes, if you use a deck with Shards then your declared element will not affect the deck.

Q: May Players switch from Shard'd to un-Shard'd decks between games, rounds, or not at all?
A: Switching deck is always allowed between games.

Q: In a no-shard deck, can the mark be different from the chosen element ?
A: Yes, any mark is allowed in all cases.

Clarification inquiry:

May Players switch from Shard'd to un-Shard'd decks between games, rounds, or not at all? (Obviously, each deck whether shards or no shards should follow the respective rules, regardless of when switching is allowed)

EDIT:  I suppose the question still stands, however, having now checked the tourney time I will be un-able to participate.  Good luck to all participants!

I understand why SoSa, SoFo and SoFre are in the banned group C. But why is SoBr banned ?
It would only speed up the games, making the tourney go faster.

(also note, that SoI is pretty useless when no other shards are allowed to combine with it)

SoBr doesn't just make games faster, it also makes rushing decks broken and we need stalls to have an equal chance, don't we?
As for SoI, it is a 1|5 creature with Burrow for 2 (just a little worse than Antlion) by itself while combined with more SoIs helps at bringing a big creature with a very low cost. 2 SoI & 1 RagePot brings out a 10|3 hitter with burrow (of course you can always use an Elite Graboid instead, power gamer! ).
