I'm with Odii yes you may be able to counter ffq it splits the most likely deck into ffq and those that counter ffq tournies are meant to inspire creative deckbuilding at least that was the way I always saw it but when you can see almost certainly what the most prominent decks are going to be before the tourney starts it defeats the object in my opinion
Especially when players come on to the Tourney thread and toss around general deck ideas and predicted meta.
I still do not understand why meta nd ban discussion _develops_ on the Tourney threads. Really it should be for posting during Tourney and TO's posting mod's leading up to the tournament. The request for "ban this" or "ban that" or asking about "what about how this isn't phrased right" should be PM's to TO's and if it results in a change, the question can be quoted by the TO from the PM with the answer as a single post on the thread for that tournament.
Also, from my perusing of the banned/allowed cards I believe the prior claims on here of a certain OP meta are a bit exaggerated, but only time will tell...
