-round 1 game 1 WIN vs zso_zso (time/light/air hope/eternity)
-round 3 game 2 LOSS vs rem4life (entropy/air/? damsel dragon/CP rush)
Firestall seemed the most obvious deck to me, given the deck construction rules. However, that meant people might be prepared for said choice... Against zso, he had this interesting luci deja vu hope eternity thing, and he kept breeding deja vus with his eternity. I couldn't play my nymphs due to eternity, and I couldn't find a fire shield for a long time, but I had just enough stall (barely!) to win. The lone miracle was the MVP; without that, I'd have lost.

This looked really fun, and interestingly I thought light and time were the 'obvious' choices for nymph pendulums. Zso picked the same deck, only he used death and aether in his... In the game I used this, I got completely locked out by a wings chain, and my light nymphs could only hold off for so long. I thought this might do better, being quite fast, but when I saw just how easy it was to lock it down, I abandoned it.

Didn't have the guts to try this one. I didn't think it would succeed in the meta, and looking back at what I faced, it might've won against a few of the decks I faced, but not many.

Again, another deck that looked like fun, but I didn't really expect to win. Animate weapon seemed a strong candidate for a pseudo trio, but I couldn't think of anything that I thought would be competitive enough.

I always seem to have bad luck when I use this deck in pvp... :p I decided not to push it.

-round 4 game 1 WIN vs andretimpa (flying glories)
-round 4 game 2 LOSS vs andretimpa (flying glories rewind)
Man, this deck was so fun to play, and a lot stronger than I expected. I originally built it with quicksands last night, and then realized they were banned... so I had to tweak things a bit :p I used the steel golems and a couple more dark cards instead. I got a 5 ttw in one game
I lost when andretimpa got lots of rewinds and kept throwing my shriekers back at me, followed by a miracle. A vamp dagger might've bought me the time I needed, but I never got it. This was definitely my strongest deck today. Lots of really heavy hitting, hard to kill creatures backed by quite a bit of disruption and CC meant it was quite difficult to beat. A wings or dimshield chain would've proven difficult, but I had a lot of CC, so I hoped to be able to simply wait that out, if needed. Andre's flying glories hit the biggest weakness of this deck; immortal creatures.
Mutants Everywhere! (silly, but might actually work)

I was trying to think of a way I could use a trio with a 4th element as a mark. This was the only thing I could think of.

After realizing quicksand was banned, I had to change the deck somewhat, and after that, it didn't look very good, anymore. It didn't look that good to begin with, and even if quicksand had been legal, I doubt I'd have used this.

-round 4 game 3 LOSS vs andretimpa (firestall light/time, he had mirror shield)
It suddenly occurred to me about 2 minutes before the tourney started that a variant of bonebolt might be quite successful here. In game 1 I managed a win, although if 0911 had had more upgrades in the deck, it would have been closer, though I suspect still my win. I used it again against andretimpa, only I tweaked it because andre had used flying glories twice in a row, so I did things like take out the rage elixirs, hoping I'd face the deck again. Instead, I went against firestall with sancs, dials, and miracles. And... mirror shield. Without that mirror shield, I'd have bolted andre to death, but as it was, I was the one who ended up bolted to death.
