I think not, but I'll wait for noob on that. If I understood it right you can use whatever mark you want (another element from a group, different from the one you are already using or a banned element), but the actual cards you put in the deck can only be from three elements (which is the definition of a trio in the deck section of the forum, for example) so any extra elements are restricted to abilities of cards from the elements you actually chose. If you choose from group A you can also use nova/SN.

No. The rules are pretty clear.

In the OP, the part about protect artifact, mummy, and pest, that is just as an example, right?  From what I can see in the rules, those three elements should be banned.  If it's not just an example, then I'm confused :p

I think I understand it enough to make viable decks. But you CANNOT HAVE cards from the elements that are missing from the groups. You MUST choose 1 from each group. Your mark can be anything to compliment abilities. Quantum towers are banned. I think that is about everything.

Edit: You also must have 5 of the cards that are assigned for each element assigned by the TO, no shards, no "other" cards.
