Since all players must pick one ,,non pet,, creature,and may use only that one,
Good rule will be that all players must add name of the choosen ,,non pet creature,, in nick.
So TO can make brackets with (nick+name of,,n.p.c.,,).
This will prevent from using other creature during tournament.

So that surprise element thing...

No, honestly now. No one wants to tell others what they'll be using, as big or as small as it will be.

This happened in the last tourney when we had to choose a card too, this should happen here too.

Hmmm, OK, scratch previous plans!

Enter troll-mode: pick a card that suggest a specific strategy, then build decks without it such that the obvious counters fail big time
Such as, pick Ghost-of-the past => people think ghost-mare, then make decks that beat the typical ghost-mare counters...

Yes, changing your nick to reflect your selected creature will be enforced, just as in the previous tourney where selecting a card was required.

Meh. I really don't see why. It just loses the surprise you would get when you see X card, to add some comfort to those that could potentially cheat / are afraid of being cheated. I find this unnecessary as we used (or still use, in some tournaments) the usual "Honor Code", since there always is a space for cheaters. Dunno, I just feel this is unnecessary and pretty "Meh" given that several of the tournaments that are ran are working on the "Honor Code", and I do not see why this one should be different. Just ruins the surprise, IMO.

But as the rules state, it is as it shall be. That's just my opinion.

The rule is "ban DR shields". We also ban dims and dis because we hate them.

Yes this was intended to be done, sorry for not stating it clearly in the rules and spoil some people's plan

Blue Nymph, Fire Shield, and both upgraded versions have been banned.

Thorn Carapace has not been banned because the damage is not definite, and it will not kill low HP creatures as quickly as Fire Shield would.
