If I chose Antlion, but don't use antlion in a deck, can I use any pet I want?

Read. It says to chose a creature that is NOT a pet, and then to use it, you have to use 6 of the same element's pet.

Expanding on my question, am I also allowed to use other pets if I do use antlion?

let me get this straight if i pick say a time creature i have to use that creature throughout the tourney as well as 6 deja vus. Everything else can be any unbanned card or only spells and permanents.

Answers to Antlion FAQ got me confused...

Originally I thought:

1. You can use any of the pets in any deck
2. IF you use your selected non-pet creature, THEN you must use 6 copies of corresponding pet, but you still may use other pets too

Now, it seems #2 is wrong, if you use the selected non-pet, then you are not allowed to use other (non-element) pets ?!?!

Now I see where the confusion is coming from. What you originally thought is correct.

Good rule will be that all players must add name of the choosen ,,non pet creature,, in nick.
So TO can make brackets with (nick+name of,,n.p.c.,,).
This will prevent from using other creature during tournament.

This happened in the last tourney when we had to choose a card too, this should happen here too.
