Regarding leaving in the finals.

According to the current rules and how the two hosting TOs (ddevans and I) interpreted them, when one leaves in the finals, their place is retained and they are banned for the next three tournaments along with getting three warnings.

I know there are many who disagree with our final decision, but we both agreed that, due to the wording of the current rules, bogtro will forfeit the finals match and gain second place, with Wizardcat becoming the tournament winner. Also, due to rule 4.3 in the Tournament Rules, bogtro will be banned for the next three tournaments, as well as obtaining three warnings (a warning stays with the player for one month, meaning it will take him three months to have zero warnings). Also, with the warning system established, if he gets a total of three warnings again, he will be banned for another three tournaments. Meaning, once he comes back to tournaments (by then he will have two warnings) and then gains any warning in any way, unless it is down to a period where he only has one, he will be banned for another three tournaments.

To some, this is less-than-justifiable, and to some, this is may be too harsh. However, this is exactly what what ddevans, myself, and even the rules agreed on. Of course, this seems even more harsh when explaining warnings, but those rules happen all the time, it's just that in this post I am explicitly spelling them out.

We have started a discussion topic immediately on how to modify these rules to make them more fair for the other tournament-goers overall. We apologize for any disgruntlement that has happened due to our ruling, and we hope that this will not cause any distrust in the Tournament Organizers and what we do.

what a F'ing joke. Yeah he's banned for 3 weeks, but he drops out because he can't play final battle. Guess there's a first for everything.

I may be mistaken, but if someone makes it to semis, then drops out without playing the semi-final match, the person who lost to them the prior match plays in the semis. The other semifinal player does not go to finals without playing a match. That's how it's been done in the past, and it shouldn't be any different in the finals.

TOs dropped the ball on this one imo.

EDIT: I see rule 3.7 is an update to the last time I read these rules. Personally, I think it should be removed and I have no idea why it was added in the first place.

Well I don't see anything in the rules that say anything about getting 3 "warnings" (nor do I recall any distinction between finals and any other match, though I guess that was added very recently). I assumed that every round would take ~30 minutes cause of the rule that said that, haven't played tourneys in a long time so didn't realize that number wasn't accurate :3 Of course I can only make tournaments about once every 3 months anyway, so it's all good

Anyway, decks I used:

This was the first deck I speedbuilt ~1 hour before the tournament. Couldn't really think of any other deck that stayed within the rules.

Between matches was toying around with a 2TK with deja vu and silences, but couldn't really get it to work (mostly because I kept bottomdecking a combo card against AI3). Scrapped the idea pretty much altogether. Then, when 1-1 against majofa, came up with

Which of course failed due to the fact that there isn't enough gravity quanta. Fortunately was able to 2TK anyway. After that, -1 Time Tower, +1 SN

Modded this with -2 PA, +2 Sanc when playing semis, after I lost the second match to Silence+no PC. Would have probably played this in all finals games, not sure what Wizcat was using so it would have been interesting.

As of now, the penalty for bogtro will be only 3 weeks ban from tournaments. Please stay tune for a rule clarification which will hopefully up in 24 hours.

Here is my opinion abouth this.
Rules are her to be respected.
Tournament organizers are here to be respected also.Im sure that TO have been choosen wisely on they places and that they doing job by rules.
BUT-Rules are variabile,and they can be modificated.
To ban someone if he drops out is not wise rule.
To ban someone if he trolls in begining,or if he prolongues the begining of tournament by asking silly question abouth rules of tourney is wise rule.
We are players from the whole World.So here are different countries,nations and time-zones.
Sure that then can be multiple reasons why player drops tournament-
(tournament started bit later and prolongued,
something important happens,
problems with electricity,
too late-or allready too early in his time-zone,
must go to scool-work,
have baby,children,or old people to take care,
limited internet access,
desynchronization,etcetc...)
This why the player that drops should be without penalty,and positioned on lowest rank,respecting his achieved rounds (exmpl.-drops semi-finals-take 4-th place).
Im not trying to defend BOGTRO,he has allready said his part of story.But considering that he is Master of Darkness,he has also the rules in War,wich he must follow.
What can happened-
If TO-s are judges here(in tournament),Masters and Warmasters are judges in war.
So some players may want to revenge for beeing banned (im not saying that BOGTRO will),in parts of Elements,where they can do it.
This may cause chain reaction and have negative influence on Elements.As i consider,we are much more comunity from other games.

On the end i just want to say that i dont participate in the War,it means that i dont have reason to defend BOGTRO.
Im not Veteran player,but i have respectable score and PVP victories.
This is only my personal oppinion as comunity member,so some of you may agree with this or not.
