How did a tournament that kills most efficient/good forms f quanta denial, but not hurt a strong mono Darkness (note that Fire Bolt was banned, so mono fire was nodded at) happen? Surely Devourer should have been banned.

Faulty mindset, IMO. The whole meta was based around either being Mono Darkness, or countering Mono Darkness, which creates an extremely unhealthy environment. With that logic, you ought've kept Dim shield in, since there's plenty of counters to that.

In adition, wasn't a huge fan of the ruleset/theme. Lacks flavor.

there were many monodark counters, let us not complain about it. And the whole meta wasn't monodark, we were the ones who went that way imho...
