TOURNAMENTS FAQ

Q: Can you explain better how choosing races work?
A: Sure. When building a deck, you must follow the ruleset of any one of the races. Each round, you may use each race ONCE. So once you've used a race in a round you can't use it again.

Q: Are nymphs and mark cards allowed?
A: Yes.

Q: For Protoss, can I use three or more different high-cost spells with total 7 copies?
A: Sadly, no. Your deck can have as many high-cost spells as you like; but at least one pair among them must add up to 7 copies total. e.g. 3 sky blitz, 3 antimatter, 1 fractal wouldn't be a legal combination. But 5 sky blitz, 2 antimatter and 2 fractal would be.

Q: For zerg, what are the exact minimum numbers of creatures for each deck size?
A: If your deck has 30 cards, then you must use at least 15 creatures. For 31-32 cards 16 creatures, for 33-34 cards 17 creatures and for 35 cards 18 creatures is the minimum.

You have to use races you haven't used in the round yet... I take it this means that you must use all three races each round?

The list of high-cost spells seems kind of arbitrary, given that 5-cost BE is included, as is 6-cost alchemy Aflatoxin, but not 7-cost alchemy Nymph's Tears.

Yes, we included all 5+ cost spells except Nymph's Tears, which was excluded for balance reasons. Thematically as well, the creature-spam effect of NT fits more with zerg's theme than Protoss.
