what rule? the TO checking decks? they got rid of it?

This rule:

• Your deck must include at least 5 copies of a single Life creature.

But not sure. I wish Blacksmith posted a wrong deck or I misunderstood the rule. And TO's don't check decks anymore for speeding up the tourneys.

Last tourney I was, before this one (1 month ago), n00b was checking all decks from the winners. That's kind of a big part of the tourneys ...

Let me direct you all to this post (plus me multiple times during tournaments exclaiming that the rule has been removed multiple times after people kept sending me their decks. The rule was removed those weeks ago simply because we felt it was a giant hassle, both to the TOs and the participants, and we believed that it was part of the reason Tournament participation was down. So yes, that rule no longer exists (and hasn't as of January 9). The other TOs and I will discuss this and will post our conclusion some time this next week.

I'm strongly in favor of keeping the deck checking, since (for me at least) it took always one minute tops. We waste much more time waiting for the servers to connect.

I agree. Perhaps its a hastle, but a necessary hastle imo.

Well - before the deck changing paragraph came to life I didn't experience any illegal deck issues. I noticed some, and there was a period with several right before the rule came. I haven't played in a tourney with deck checks, though.

What I propose, is deck checking for semi finals, bronze finals, fifth place finals and first place finals - in other words, matches with players who are fighting for prizes.

the last time I asked to Noob check my deck was not long and  I realized that it was illegal.

Oh damn, I didn't even realize Blacksmith's decks were illegal against me in the final.  I just assumed he had undrawn life creatures, most likely frogs.  He used that water/life duo against me one game, and one/both of the crusader ones the other times.  I don't know which, because he never got archangels or heals out.

 Well, of course he did not do it on purpose, but he himself who once said to me he prefers to be disqualified than winning an illegal
 And I agree with him.
the check started exactly because of irregular decks, removed it what we have now? irregular decks...
