ggs. He had a bad draw in the first and quit the second once I had a Nymph out and all his creatures antimattered. (In case you're interested, your AIs Skull Shield eventually killed the Nymph but by that time it was too late. I won against the AI with it having 2 cards left.)

Shame a Zombie couldn't get to the final but 3rd and 4th is better than last time.

GGs.  The last two were very close games; the first game he trounced me effortlessly.  I think I had an advantage simply because Blacksmith had not actually faced another Plant in this tourney, so he didn't know what other people had come up with, whereas I'd already seen two other Plant players' decks.

I drew enough D Poison early and BW mid-game with a Lady Grey (Fable reference ftw!) to fend off the growing army to win.

This was a very fun tournament.  It went VERY quickly too - rush deck styles with exactly 16 players and nobody causing problems or having bad connections helped a lot!

I built this to try and handle a fairly wide range of opponents and situations.  Quanta denial, rush capability, and CC from auburn nymphs, with priorities chosen depending on what I'm facing.  I used unupped forest spirits on purpose because with a 1 life pend start, I can get one out on turn 2, as opposed to turn 4 if they were upgraded.

This deck seemed a pretty obvious choice to build.  I had two absolutely perfect 5 ttw draws and one terrible 1 pend draw with it.

Hope seemed like it would counter a fairly wide variety of strategies.  As long as no area spells (pande, dessi) were around, it looked pretty good to me.  The first time I used it, ddevans conceded once I got my hope up to 6 strength, as he could no longer hurt me.  In the second, two dessications wrecked most of my army, but I still had a dragon and a morning glory left.  I never once drew any of the light nymphs, but I got a luciferin, a hope, and a couple RoLs/frogs to start every time.

I considered this but couldn't think of a good way to fit 5 of a Death creature in.
