Where? Please enter the Tournament room at least 15 minutes before the tournament starts. Click "Rooms" in the top left to find it.

Rules Please read the PvP Tournament rules carefully before joining the tournament. Remember to also read the Special Rules listed below!

Prizes 1st place 5,000 electrum + Nymph/Mark + Trophy (Forum Icon) 2nd place 3,000 electrum 3rd place 2,000 electrum In case of 32 or more players, tournament prizes will be increased.

Points for the World Championship 1st place 4 points 2nd place 2 points 3rd place 1 point

NOTE: You need just one presentable forum post to be allowed to join tournaments; you can post it here. If this will be your first tournament, a Tournament Organizer will test your knowledge about the rules. So please be present in tournament room 30 minutes before the tournament starts.




Special Rules

• Always read the second post! It contains equally important information most of the time.
• Upgraded cards are allowed, but not required.
• Shards are NOT allowed.
• All creatures are limited to exactly two copies per deck. We have to ensure that they get to be with a loved one, right?
• Using a Nymph allows you to include up to three other unpaired creatures of the Nymph's element in your deck.
  
  • You may only use one copy of each nymph (No bitchfights, please).
  • The unpaired creatures included with the nymph may have a maximum of one copy (Because being a third wheel sucks).
• Decks may have a maximum of 35 cards. Being slow on Valentine's Day might just spill the end for your relationship.
• Cards which cause harm to creatures and permanents are banned. TO has considered harm to include damage, insta-death, destruction and lobotomy. Discord and Dimensional Shield are banned for balance reasons.

Q: Can we put 2 upgraded creatures and 2 unupgraded creatures to make pairs?
A: No. A creature counts as the same both upgraded and unupgraded (Except Fallen Elf and Toadfish, which are only allowed upgraded). So legal pairs are 2 unupgraded, 1 upgraded and 1 unupgraded, and 2 unupgraded creatures.

This deck has an Auburn Nymph, and so can have up to three unpaired creatures. Antlion, Shrieker and Stone Dragon fulfill that role, so legal.

This deck has a Light Nymph, but no unpaired creatures! Which is allowed, since nymph only gives you the freedom to add unpaired creatures. You don't necessarily have to have unpaired creatures besides the nymph. So legal.

Steal would harm the owner, not the permanent.
Zawa and I had a small discussion on what counts as harming something before this tournament was made.

Also: does pairs include an unupped-upped pair? e.g, is 1 vampire and 1 minor vampire okay? Are 2 vampires and 2 minor vampires okay? Or is it only 1 pair, upped or unupped matching?

I talked with Zawa about this while writing the verifier. Upped & unupped are counted as the same wrt pair matching

It's too bad this is at 6am for me, since I didn't have anything else to do on Valentine's Day... I likely won't be up for the chance at a mark to console myself.  Maybe my purple nymph harem can help cheer me up... somehow, I think that'll be disappointing, though :p  Good luck, all!
