Weekly Tournament - December 27th - Xmas Time! - UnupgradedIn the last good day of the year, organizers are: SpikeSpiegel, Submachine, Dm1321, Zawadx

Where? Please enter the Tournament room at least 15 minutes before the tournament starts. Click "Rooms" in the top left to find it.

Rules Please read the PvP Tournament rules carefully before signing up.

Prizes 1st 7,000 electrum + Nymph/Mark + Trophy (Forum Icon) 2nd 5,000 electrum + Nymph/Mark 3rd 4,000 electrum 4th 3,000 electrum 5th 2,000 electrum 6th 1,000 electrum

Players who lose their quarterfinal (Top 8) matches will compete for the 5th and 6th place prizes in a mini-tournament. Prize-eligible players (namely, ones in the top 8) who leave the tournament without notifying the Tournament Organizer of their intent are considered to have forfeited their match, and also their prize.

NOTE: Players with fewer than 10 forum posts are not allowed to enter tournaments. Spamming low-quality posts to reach the minimum post count needed to participate will not be tolerated.

Special Rules

• Always read the second post! It contains equally important information most of the time.
• Upgraded cards and shards are not allowed.
• 12 elements are divided into triplets representing an aspect of Christmas. Each round, you can only use elements from one triplet.
• Allowed combinations are: monos, duos, trios. Each combination of elements can be used only ONCE in the whole tournament.
• Cards from "Other" are allowed and can be used freely.
• A duo must have at least 6 non-pillar/pendulum cards from each element. A trio must have at least 3 non pillar/pendulum cards from each element. Cards from "Other" don't count as off-elements cards.
• When posting the match result, please post the element combinations you've used (cumulative).

TOURNAMENTS FAQ


Q: We have to use the same triplet for the whole tournament?
A: Nope. You can change triplets from a round to another. But during a round, you can use only elements from the triplet you choose for that round.


Q: What does it mean that an elements combination can be used only once for the whole tournament?
A: For each triplet you can play, at max, 7 combos: 3 monos, 3 duos and 1 trios. Once you used a combination, that combination is gone. Let's make an example: for your first round you choose "The Christmas Tree" triplet,  . The first deck you run is a mono ; for the rest of the tournament, you cannot use anymore a mono . The second deck you use it's a  duo; for the rest of tournament, this combo is gone too.


Q: What happens if I choose to use again a triplet I've already used?
A: In this case you can use only from that triplet only elements combinations that are still available (aka, that you didn't use yet).


Q: Whart does it mean that cards from "Other" can be used freely?
A: It means that cards from "Other" can be used in every deck with no restrinctions. Mind that cards from "Other" aren't counted for duos and trios purpose (a monodeck + cards from "Other" is considered a monodeck).


Q: Are nymphs and mark cards allowed?
A: Yes.


Q: Does the mark of your deck count as a card?
A: Your deck's main mark does not count as a card, though standalone mark cards do.

Sounds Nice, I'll join... peolple having a bye should post 2-3 combinations they dropped as they have a great advantage.  Or if there is little people having a bye and lots of people playing... have rd 1 be free.

We deemed it as unnecessary, as people would just post bad combinations and not face any penalty at all.

Have Rd 1 free if there are any byes? People who play in rd 1 lose some good combinations and will be at a disadvantage.

We'll see according to number of participants and byes. Round 1 free it's one of our options, the goal of course is to make the tournament the most fair for all.
