Weekly Tournament - December 15th - Trios With a Twist - Unupgraded

I have 3 questions:
1)Only trios, right? (noob question, title says trio, but nothing about it in rules)
2)Is QP allowed?
3)So the "skeleton" building deck is 15 cards (5 spells, 5 creatures, 5 permanents) and at least 15 pillars/pends?

1> Basically it is at least a trios since you need 3 different elements for 3 categories, but I am not stopping you to add 1 pillar/pend of each element to your deck.

2> Not in the ban list, so yes.

3> Yes.

EDIT: nvm, you can't use more than 3 elements (besides using pillars/pends)

What I'm asking is, can you use four "actual" permanents but technically have five by adding a pillar?

5 Vulture
5 Mutation

No. Pillar/pends/mark cards does not count as permanents in this case. If it counts, you can only use Quantum Pillars to power the creatures/spells (as illustrated by your sample deck), which is not what we intended.

I can't take part of this tournamet, but I did made a deck for it.

I would be happy, if somebody would use it, but I'm not sure about posting it here, as it would make countering it easy.
So should I post it anyway or PM it to somebody who is intrested or post it in some other thread?

Agreed with dragon. I don't feel like it would be very sporting for someone to use a deck someone else made / gave to them. But I'd be interested to see other's ideas after the tournament takes place ^_^

Posting 30 times is a need to make sure people at least know about the forum and possibly read the rules to our tournament. I understand you may dislike posting, but if you like playing, there are boards more suited to you like the Deck Helping board and the like. 30 posts is not hard. Just don't spam useless things and you'll be accepted in the tournament just fine.


I know the 30 post count rule is a little off, but in reality, it really does pay off when you're actually in the tournament. I'll never forget when a person asked me "How did they post" in forum when they won a match in the tournament. Further on there were several people in the tournament room that didn't read the rules, etc. etc. So the 30 post rule saves the Organizers some trouble.

It also removed the occasional hacker from the tournament, which is definitely good.
