banning all nymphs by default is like banning shards by default years ago, in most case u ban 11 cards for nothing rather than ban a single one

also it was really broken in an unupped tournament where not only u are forced to play a trio, u are also forced to play splitted pends? blue nymph is hard to fuel even in monoair with fire mark, u had every cc unbanned except reverse time

Hard to fuel or not blue nymphs kinda dominated this tourney. Also, don't forget that other players often had problems with quanta production, too, so using an Air mark with 12-15 pends was more than enough to deploy multiple nymphs. (Deuce even played a purple nymph deck, while TorB used Auburns.) As Submachine stated, banning Blue Nymph would made the decks more diverse (I still made 20+ decks again. And used 9 as well.)

in all the deck posted, only the stallbreaker with steams by submachine has cc able to one shot the nymph, if i also put the catatitan with the 3 freezes there are 2 decks out of 16 able to deal with her

Of course, however Blue Nymph gets banned for obvious reasons in many tournaments.

I understand shockcannon's point, I also feel sometimes that it is quite hard to play against veterans in certain tournaments because of their Nymphs. * And as shockcannon said, it isn't being unrespectful or something,
we all know that you put a lot of effort to get those rare cards, but because of time restraints we will possibly never have that amount of Nymphs - unless we win tourneys in Vindi's tempo...

But the main problem here were Blue Nymphs being op or op-ish in this tourney.

I had a deck containing Lightning, so that deck can one shot a blue nymph as well. Also: owl's eye in ARTH's deck (ok, that's 2 shot ), gravity pull in one of my Lava Golem decks (because of golem it is 1 shot), and we may add the Sadist Deck as well, however it is not cc-ing, but something more vile.

* It is an entirely different thing that they truly know this game and that also gives a tough time for every aspiring player.

Well, I got all my Nymphs through Oracle, wasting codes on Nymphs, blasphemy...

The main problem with Blue Nymphs is that just 6 of them along with a bunch of quanta is already a decent deck. The quanta mandated by the tournament did hurt it and cost me a game, but the rules did not hurt it more than most other decks. It kind of fits in the Graboid and Fire Bolt category of bans: extremely powerful cards that easily risk dominating the meta if left unchecked.

I agree with that since Nymphs can be rolled and winning codes is the only way to get Marks. However this game left only ~1,5 years so "wasting" codes
on Nymphs is not a stupid idea either.

The reason I mentioned a no nymph tournament isn't me banning all nymphs because of one nymph. I played against decks in the past 2 tournaments that have features FIVE different types of nymphs. And I realize there are several counters. I didn't state that I felt they were necessarily OP, I just felt restricted. I ran a mind-flayer deck 50% of my games just out of fear of nymphs. It does get boring just playing that all the time, but that isn't even the issue. Submachine brought several decks against me that used quintessence, effectively negating my entire nymph counter. And mindflayers suck at doing damage and have no health so I'm stuck with 6 useless cards. I could run a a reflective shield, SoW deck but that's very niche and specific, and if I don't run into what I expect, I'm severely at a disadvantage.

Again, I don't think this is necessarily an issue, but aren't we supposed to provide feedback on tournaments? I just don't want several weeks on end of a nymph meta. I respect the power of nymphs and that they should be viable, but now we've hit 2 weeks of them being very meta and I think TOs should be aware of that so that we don't go like 6 weeks of nymphs dominating the meta.

Submachine brought several decks against me that used quintessence, effectively negating my entire nymph counter. And mindflayers suck at doing damage and have no health so I'm stuck with 6 useless cards. I could run a a reflective shield, SoW deck but that's very niche and specific, and if I don't run into what I expect, I'm severely at a disadvantage.

Check my second SoW deck, hehe. Of course, that deck worked because Deuce feared Refl. Shield so wanted to play stallish so I had time to find my psions. :-D Btw Carapace or Skull Shield can turn even Nymph/Quint users crazy.
