As soon as I saw that SoGs and SoDs were allowed, I was kind of confused.  In an unupped tournament, the playstyle would have changed dramatically had those two cards been removed.  The pace of the game would still be a crawl compared to upgraded duels, but at least it would be fair.  Money dominated the tournament in my opinion (for the most part anyways), money being upgraded cards in an unupgraded tournament.  lol.



Conclusion: Ban shards for the next tournament or change the format to allow only a certain amount of upgraded cards

agreed wholeheartedly. SoG's and SoD's are still upgrades, they still require the 1500 per card, which did give a large unfair advantage to those without.
