People seems to be missing the point here. The 30 post rule is not a hurdle at all, not really. Several people have post counts of 10 or more per day. So whats the loss? Youll enter the community, see a tournament, post a few posts everyday in the deck&card idea section and off topic and general and whatnot. In 3-4 days you can enter. In that time you have had ample time to read and understand the rules and wont be a pain in the *** to everyone.

This is not a hurdle. All it does is getting rid of people with no intention to stay and learn and evolve the game experience. At most you'll miss the first tournament you see if you joined the forum a day or two before it starts, but after that its wide open.

Too bad I can't enter, I finally seem to reach the point where I own most basic cards (and start thinking about actual deck building, instead of just farming AI3). Would've been a good test for me too tes decks here :P. - I don't really like posting a lot, am more of the silent lurker who only posts when his opinion isn't told yet (Forums where I've been a very respected member for 10 years, I only have 2k posts). Well not going to make a big of a fuss about it, "so be it".

I think the rules are a bit "boring" though, not that much depend on spells, apart from a few decks who depend on it entirelly. (Firestall, any nova based rush). Though I can imagine something like a lava golem being very strong here: without too much fear of spells. (though on the otherhand someone can take maxwells / sniper to have some unit control). Weird though that perm control is allowed.

TO's don't like stalls because they slow tournaments down and cause complications  (longer time for desynchs to occur). This concept is particularily geared toward faster decks, though some control can go a very long way. Last tourney was full of stalls, but it was luckily small. Nonetheless, we like to change it up.

I just wanted to point out that though this may be my 23rd post, most of, if not all of, my posts have came from the pvp experience in either Beginner's League and in these tournaments.  In like the last 4 tournaments I have entered, I'm pretty sure I placed tied for 5th or lower.  Don't quote me on that because I have not checked to make sure.  So where I understand the intentions of the new rule and will abide by it so that I qualify for the upcoming tournament, I'm not sure that it's the best determinate of qualifications of players for a tournament.  Regardless, for anyone reading this post:  If you really want to be in the tournament, then find a way to contribute to the forum 30 times or whatever magic number of times you need to in order to obtain 30 posts.  Comment on decks you have been using, post a deck noone has seen before, or even post ideas for other events or cards or whatever.  I obviously don't know that much, but I do know 30 posts is obtainable.

If you read my posts in the latter part of the Tournament Feedback thread, you'll see the rule isn't really about qualification. That's where you should keep feedback like your post here, by the way, as I've posted earlier in this thread.
There seems to exist a widespread tendency to assume why we've added this rule. Those assumptions have all been wrong thus far.

You are just lucky you don't get banned from tourneys for letting your mouth run.  When was the last time a TO won their own tourney?  And if you disagree with our ideas, then just don't come.

But srsly, the bigger reason is that it adds an entire deck archetype (charge decks), and thus more strategic options without unbalancing the metagame.

I don't like the post count requirement. I thought it would be better to have new guys, I mean that's how games grow. If I was brand new and I saw the 30 post count requirement I probably would just not play and would quickly give the game up. I've played in 10+ tournaments, I think, and I've never made it past the second round, this will just make is even more tough as I'll never see any new guys to beat up on lol. Its still a very enjoyable game and I doubt I have 30+ posts. Oh well guess I'll go find some places to talk and wonder why we dont like new people.
