There is no choice, everyone is using a rainbow deck. Nothing can be called mono/duo/trios etc because every deck has every element, and nothing is a dead card because everything can be played.
11 pillars (other than your main element)
11 cards (other than your main element)
------------
22 cards already
11 pends (1 from each element other than the main element you want to play, can go fewer I suppose but you need the odds with you to get your main elements quanta going)
------------
33 cards already
2 pillars (from your main element, it just seems like a nice number)
------------
35 cards already (and you haven't even added in any cards from your main element you wanted to play)
16 cards from your main element (that means no fewer than 8 different cards at 2 copies a piece)
9 misc cards, CC and PC from what ever elements you like to use
------------
60 cards
This seems like the best way to go about using a main element with 22 mandatory cards combined from each element aside from the main element you want to use. It also seems like you will be screwed at every corner due to the fact that you have those 22 cards. If you don't draw the right quanta, you could be sitting on a lot of cards, and possibly discarding often.
This tourney will be long, and 4am for the eastern one with it being long, I'll just join western.
