4+ creatures are banned. Most spells are allowed and permanents are allowed.

The only bans are listed. It's that simple.

If I am correct, things like graboids, forest spirits, lycanthropes are not banned.... sounds like something familiar? here is a hint, go play a BL match...

Actually, BL is more complex than a competition of who has the stronger grabbow. At the end of last season, I only used grabbow and a grabbow counter, but now I've seen a lot of players with counters to grabbow. It's no longer the best option to use some form of rainbow every game.
