Q: What is this tournament based on?
A: The original idea of this tournament was to ban all cards who cost at least 4 quanta.
Since the goal was to spam creatures I thought banning mass CC and allowing creatures that spawn creatures would help with that

Updated with a couple bans to discourage stalls: Fire Shield, Thorn Carapace, Fire Bolt, Ice Bolt, Drain Life.

Kind of suprised you didn't include Dimensional Shield on that list as well since it's pretty much the lynch pin of most stalls, and in a tourney with Fractal encouraged I can see a lot of Dim chaining going on.

Unlike Fire Shield or Thorn Carapace, Dim Shield doesn't kill creatures. And if you expect other shields... What better than to render them useless and win! (:
