No skill in this game huh?

Botsza: As always its mostly the draw. I was saved a few games by drawing exactly what I needed on the last turn it would matter. Another couple of games would have ended differently if I had gone second instead.

Also me and four or five others tested the decks under the week to see which ones performed the best consistently.
Testing payed off.

Nice to see a humble head remains on your shoulders despite all those tourney wins Rastafla!

However, I think it is beyond coincidence that we see some players winning tournaments regularly.  Of course there is a luck component but the really skilled players can limit the effects of good or bad luck and put themselves in positions to win more regularly than us normal folk ;)

It is a bit like golfers hitting holes in one.  Nobody can do regularly but the really good players (Pro's) give themselves more chances to do it than us weekend golfers.  Or poker... luck plays a massive role in poker but the really good players win more often because there is a huge skill component to the game too.

People who maintain that luck is a deciding factor in elements have a tough time explaining how people like yourself win so regularly.

Honestly, how many of you would checked to see which decks performed best, Rastafla and others seem to have put in more effort than others (besides his group of 4 or 5 people)
I bet many of you did (cough I wouldn't have, but that's just me), but it didn't matter because most of you didn't have the upped cards to use them.

Especially in upped tourneys, you see the same people winning over and over again, because there is simply less competition due to unupped < upped (for the most part upped decks will win) and many people don't have the cards to do it

Luck is definitely a deciding factor, but so is skill.
