Eastern Tournament - Jan 8th - War of the Elders

the darkness/entropy elder is very annoying to play against, but I don't think its win rate against other elder decks is very high...

Each elder kind of counters eachother softly. I think that one of the Elders that require luck is the Voodo/Entropy as it is full of Pandemonium. Might be even PU, or any kind of CC.

We shouldn't let Zeru use that one. RNG loves him.

Both are in tourney room 1. Room 2 is there in case there are more than 50 participants. Since for some reason, a chat room doesn't allow more people inside a room :p

Dagger can be added to the list of non-rare weapons (not advising to use it, but it's an option )

Pre-build tourneys are nice. They're definitely more new-person friendly, as they don't involve too many rules and the decks are already made for you (just choose one/a few and you're ready). They're good for getting newer people entering tourneys. But I do like the idea of allowing people the freedom to customize a bit by changing X number of cards, too.

Like mentioned in the tournament rules (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,6997.0.html) you contact your opponent via chat pm, ask for their in game name and pvp duel them.

I wouldn't either. Gladly I have all/most rares..  but hey.

Again, wouldn't advise using it myself. I was just mentioning it for completeness.

I do remember that when I started this game, though, that I'd always keep a dagger in one of my decks because I thought it was good & cool to get 2 points of damage without using any quanta.  Now ... not so much.

(Although I guess it kinda has an advantage in that no one bothers stealing/destroying it. )

I assume that Arctic Squid is the same as Miracle and Pharaoh, you can't replace it but you can go without it?

Hm.. since it's only 1, one could replace it with a Freeze. Pharaohs are, however, not replaceable. The Pharaoh deck relies on them.
