3 posts while I read. That, my friend, is what they call "Ninja".

Awesome story there. Like higs said, I'll be disappointed with the users, but not extremely sad. You don't have to be 100% fair and build a real duo deck (Say, 50% of each element), but hell, that's what this tournament is for, and it'd be nice to see it instead of a "Creepy mono-fire with some Spark for damage, YO".

A 29 card mono with the addition of a spark can be surprisingly effective. Think mono death with bonewalls; the spark is almost as good as another death card you could use because it gives you two bonewalls.

I plan to use decks that are allowed. I see no reason to frown upon 29 card monos + photon. That would just cause fewer decks to be accepted. If 29 card + photon decks stifle the metagame, such as discord and immolation would, then they can be banned if you wish.
Somehow still around, somewhat

I think this is where I'm at as well.

If you want actual duos, just force at least 6 cards to be from a different element. Incredibly simple rule with no chance for confusion.

If you don't care about monos, then that's fine, but don't say you'll look down on them when you have the ability to change it.

Oh, I will. I've already stated why I'm not forcing anything. The ability to do that doesn't solve a problem I care about; rather, it causes more confusion in proportion to the worth of having only duos/trios. My opinion on the people who don't accept the challenge is irrelevant for that subject, so let's keep them apart, mm?

If I had a problem with it, I'd force it. I'm not sure how I can be more obvious. In fact, there is nothing more to say about this, as we're already getting repeats. Dropping it and letting the tourney proceed is a very easy process.
