How on earth is this supposed to be a rewarding experience? There are eight real playable cards, not counting pillars. Eight. (This is, of course, assuming that Short Sword is the obvious weapon of choice)There will be little difference in deck construction, so it's simply up to the RNG to decide who gets electrum and a rare card this week. As I am unable to compete in any tournaments due to time constraints, I find it very unsettling that one could literally win first place just for showing up. I say if you are going to have tournaments like this, they should at least be held on a daily basis so literally everyone has the opportunity to show up and win. This is a slap in the face to competitive gaming.
believe it or not, not all tournaments about being the most competitive
sometimes, its about having fun
i guess you missed the previous 'RNG' tourneys like Fate Egg tourneys (yep, its all about fate egg mutations)
fate egg in fact has the highest number or participants up to that point (i might be wrong, in any case it was very high) and other than desync issues (as always), i think it was a tons of fun for everybody.....which is why it was brought back not long after (btw, fate egg tourney, at least the first one only has 6 different cards you can work with including quantum pillars and time pillars)
and it was very rewarding experience for newbies, personally it was what got me interested (taking part in PvP)
its kinda like going to a sealed deck tourney and cracking open bombs or bust...but its all good
you should take part into more tournaments instead of being overly critical about what should and should not be tournament-worthy format
