Time factory is allowed, allthough I doubt anyone would actually use it...

Excuse me vets. From your experiences, how long does a tournament like this last (let's say 40 people joins)? This is the first tournament I'll be participating and I need to make room for my schedule.
Tasted the world, seen more than enough.

Keep in mind that's 3 to 4 hours if you make the final four, thus playing 5+ rounds. If you get out in prelims it could take just 30 minutes (including showing up 15 minutes early).
Somehow still around, somewhat

This'll probably be a long tournament as a whole. I use mutation more like CC then as a boost to my own, actually.

How on earth is this supposed to be a rewarding experience? There are eight real playable cards, not counting pillars. Eight. (This is, of course, assuming that Short Sword is the obvious weapon of choice)There will be little difference in deck construction, so it's simply up to the RNG to decide who gets electrum and a rare card this week. As I am unable to compete in any tournaments due to time constraints, I find it very unsettling that one could literally win first place just for showing up. I say if you are going to have tournaments like this, they should at least be held on a daily basis so literally everyone has the opportunity to show up and win. This is a slap in the face to competitive gaming.

Wow, there are a lot of dead elements this tourny...  (death, gravity, earth, life, fire, water, air, and darkness) since you need life for fallen druid, literally half the elements are cut off..

believe it or not, not all tournaments about being the most competitive
sometimes, its about having fun
i guess you missed the previous 'RNG' tourneys like Fate Egg tourneys (yep, its all about fate egg mutations)
fate egg in fact has the highest number or participants up to that point (i might be wrong, in any case it was very high) and other than desync issues (as always), i think it was a tons of fun for everybody.....which is why it was brought back not long after (btw, fate egg tourney, at least the first one only has 6 different cards you can work with including quantum pillars and time pillars)
and it was very rewarding experience for newbies, personally it was what got me interested (taking part in PvP)

its kinda like going to a sealed deck tourney and cracking open bombs or bust...but its all good

you should take part into more tournaments instead of being overly critical about what should and should not be tournament-worthy format

You are correct, kobis, and that was a prebuilt deck. Unfortunately Mutation was used as CC as often as buff, so since the community wanted more Mutation and/or Fate Egg tourneys, I concluded it was better to put down restrictions than force people to use a deck. All the TO's and all participants I've asked agreed.

Not all tourneys are super serious. We serve the community, and the community loves these, as you can see.

Oh, and since you have to look at the whole picture, if you have any feedback, post it in the feedback thread (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,7055.0.html).
