Special Rules

Shards and upgraded cards are not allowed.

Card lists:

• List A: Mitosis, Acceleration, Ghost of the Past, Shield, Iridium Warden, Sanctuary
• List B: Dagger, Skull Shield, Gnome Rider, Dragonfly, Titanium Shield, Flooding, Ice Bolt, Shockwave, Cloak, Black Nymph, Turquoise Nymph, Nightmare, Skeleton, Catapult, Deflagration, Schrodinger's Cat, Immolation

Decks must contain at least 6 copies of cards from either List A OR List B.
If you use cards from List A, you may not use cards from List B.
If you use cards from List B, you may not use cards from List A.

I like the idea, but with those card lists, I doubt many people will pick list A.  "A" has only about 3 cards I'd use, and "B" has about 7.  Even if you don't agree with my card choices (not listed deliberately) there is an imbalance simply because B is longer than A.

FAQ

Q: Do I have to use 6 copies of one card?
A: No, you don't have to. Just at least 6 in total of cards from one list. That means you can pack 3 Mitosis and 3 Accelerations and be fine. You can also pack 4 Mitosis and 4 Accelerations, since you can have more than 6 copies.

Q: How does the whole List A and List B thing work?
A: Here's a few simple examples:

• Legal: 6 Mitosis (6 total copies of cards from list A)
• Legal: 3 Mitosis + 3 Acceleration (6 total copies of cards from list A)
• Legal: 4 Mitosis + 4 Acceleration (8 total copies of cards from list A)
• Legal: 1 Mitosis + 1 Acceleration + 1 Ghost of the Past + 1 Shield + 1 Iridium Warden + 1 Sanctuary (6 total copies of cards from list A)
• Legal: 5 Ice Bolt + 1 Schrodinger's Cat (6 total copies of cards from list B)
• Illegal: 6 Ghost of the Past + 6 Nightmare (uses cards from both list A and list B -- BAD!)
• Illegal: 5 Flooding (not enough copies of cards from one list -- BAD!)

Q: What's the significance of these lists?
A: The cards in List A are the new non-Shard cards that were added to the game in 2011. The cards in List B are non-Shard cards that have been changed in 2011.

Well, the cards in list A are mostly stronger and easier to use with 6, so I think it's fine.

Sorry, didn't realize a FAQ was coming :p  And thanks for clearing up the reasoning behind the two lists; they just seemed like random cards to me.  I know deflag, immo, cat, and flooding have changed since I started playing, but the rest must have either been changed before March or else I didn't notice, and all the cards in list A were in-game when I started.

Other than to use Sanc or Warden, I still think picking list B will yield stronger decks, but we'll see...   I can't remember nova or immolation being in a tourney for quite awhile (other than last week's upped one for nova) so this should be interesting.

Because many newbies abandoned them after signing up, in the past. 30 posts is a soft limiter that allows only those with at least a minimal interest in the forum can join. Theoretically. It still doesn't stop people from spamming with around a dozen or so rather simplistic two word comments.

Question: Wasn't grey nymph changed to decrease its skill cost to this year?

Not quite true - the 30 forum posts was put into place to stop people from entering tourneys with multiple accounts in an effort to give themselves increased chances of winning.
