I know, but the fact that there are so many rare cards that need to be unupped (and not many people have the unupped rares they want by the sounds of it) just seems like this tournament is a big waste of time, money or both.

The closest deck I have to making is the scorpio one, but my eternities are upped, so either
  • I Grind T50 until I get 3 eternities in 5 days
  • You kindly allow me to use upped eternities because the difference between upped and unupped is so insignificant
  • Screw the whole thing and not participate (...Again)
But who knows? maybe everyone else has 6 of every rare unuped, maybe it just sucks to be me, and you want less people to be able to participate.

Aries has no rares whatsoever, Zuphix. However, an easy fix would be to let people use non-rare weapons in place of the rare ones, if they want. No need to be sardonic, exaggerate or whine so much when we put a lot of work into this. Show some empathy and chill, bro. It's easily fixed.

@makapse: We have no pretences of making these similar to any mid-level opponents around. They are simply working, but not kickass, decks. Pharaoh is a underused card, so I enjoy encouraging its use.

Firstly I apologise for sounding so hostile, sometimes I don't realise it until after someone replies.

I did consider Aries but for 1186 Electrum to possibly never use the deck again was too much, Your second post implied that common weapons weren't allowed in place of rares, and I thank you for making a suitable change to make it less of a problem to join.

About the naming of the decks: I see you have Pisces and Aquarius, so if you want to go with the original Latin naming, it should be Scorpius and Capricornius.
On the other hand, Pisces and Aquarius might be English as well, but I'm not sure, you tell me.
EDIT: Ophiuchus also wants a little love, he's always been jealous of his neighbours  :P

Quick Question... after every round, are you allowed to switch decks?

Yep. You can switch decks at any time, including between duels and rounds, as mentioned in the FAQ.

after some testing (between tourney decks) Capricorn still suffer from lack of damage output and too much useless water quanta (only to fuel for trident feels off) and not enough darkness

i'd rather have a water mark and use obsidian pillar but since the mark is already taken, i dont know how else to make this work
suffice to say all the pillar/quanta denial in the world wont help you if you dont get them in time and with just 2 trident, 4 EQs, most of the time you wont (devourer helps but theres the issue when you dont draw any devs but are stuck with darkness heavy hand too)

also, any deck packing eternity is a killer to any deck not packing PC and even those with PCs such as deflag and steal if the eternity user got them early enough
and since permanent control cards are so little, usually means GG even to those with deflag (once eternity lock is in place, you wont have a chance to break it unless you already have it in your hand with sufficient quanta)
scorpio deck is the worst offender since it has the highest amount of eternities (3)

Libra in my opinion is actually underpowered, not overpowered. I tested all the decks and it was the only deck that couldn't beat ai3 regularly. I mean, people can do anything to remove those fire queens.

ok,nice decks, but I just want to point out one thing:-
Since when did even moderate level guys have 6 UNUPPED pharaoh for LEO?acceped,it's not that strong, but still,it's rarely going to be used.(I do have 6 of them, just the upped versions from FG's)
That's actually a good point. Even I don't have 6 unuped pharaoh =_=

*puts pharaoh farm up

CORRECTION : WTF? I don't even have a total of 6 pharaohs to put up a farm...
Lol thats funny, bc I have the same issue. I've won many more pharaoh's both upped and unupped than 6, however they sell so well and are generally so useless for me, I tend to sell them rather than keep them :P. Not complaining, just laughing bc I have the same issue heh. I'm sure anyone can farm the necessary rares for whichever decks they want to use between now and the tournament though, by just farming t50 instead of doing whatever else they'd do while playing :P.

I like the idea of choosing decks which are prepared!!!!Though it may result in a rock/scissor/paper game but it is funny to see how people choose different decks to counter others and the strategy of choosing decks behind...Fun to play
