So with deckbuilding even if an upped card makes a cost difference of one quanta, the rule is strictly NO EXEPTIONS?
That sucks, not cool. :o
If 1 upped card does not make a difference than 2 uppes don't do it as well.
If 2 upped cards do not make a difference than 3 uppes don't do it as well.
.
.
.
If 39 upped cards do not make a difference than 40 uppes don't do it as well.

Therefore, using a fully upped deck is perfectly fine.

Certain cards, like my example of eternity, one time quanta, almost all the time anyone will have at least one unspent quanta, upgrading towers gives a larger unfair advantage, and they only cost 3 electrum, I can say it's fair to buy unnuped pillars, but making someone farm for 3 eternities is a different thing. Having 1 extra time quanta can't be a game breaking thing.

Zuphix, there is a reason why I did 40 steps and not 1. In each step I applied your flawed reasoning (small advantage does not matter).

Well, if small advantage doesn't matter in step 1, than it is also true in step 2,3 and so on. There is a reason why upgrades are banned.

It seems like you don't get it though, so I'll end here with logical constructions and say some facts.

If you use just one upgrade and the other player makes a screen, you get kicked out of the tournament. Hopefully you understand it and you won't spoil the fun.

I think what he said is valid up to a point zeru. The one quanta cost reduction in cost for eternity won't make nearly as big a difference as hourglass's cost reduction for example.

That said, it will still make a difference, and as suck, it can't be done.

not a big difference? any kind of cost difference will have a huge impact
i would've expect that from a newbie but not coming from you QT

+1 damage, not a huge difference right? an unupped creature with original damage of 1 takes 100 turns by itself to get an opponent from 100 HP to 0
+1 damage upped means it will only take 50 turns to do the same
so 100 turns to 50 is not huge?

1 cost reduction, again, not a huge difference? a spell that cost 2 quanta unupped needs 2 Nova to be casted in an off color nova-based rainbow (think Antagon's graboid rainbow for example)
1 cost reduction upgraded means you can cast it with just 1 nova, still not huge?

Eternity for example, just a minor 1 cost reduction, right? not a big deal at all...wrong
5 :time instead of 6 :time means you can cast it 1 turn earlier meaning 1 turn earlier to start using the ability
if you can dismiss 1 cost reduction as something insignificant, i guess i think too highly of you QT

You are really trying hard to find something to flame, huh, kobis? He said it's not as big a difference as an upped Hourglass. He compared it to a card where the difference is much more noticeable. Cease these personal attacks in my board. I'm getting very fed up with them and your attitude.

I think you mean "such" :))

And kobis, I think you might need to re-read what quantum wrote.

That is only true if you are left with zero :time at the end of the turn in which you played eternity.
I do realise it's not going to happen, I'm just saying it sucks that I have 6 upped eternities and none unupped.
But I have found a way to get a deck elegible for the tourney, so there is no need for this debate to continiue.
