But no, Animate Weapon (Upped Flying Weapon) wouldn't be allowed. It's a air card. Just like photon costs nothing people think it's no-element, but it's Light. Same applies to spark, that is Aether.

Yes, it does not count as an element and is allowed.

Edit: with the exception of Shards of Gratitude which are explicitly banned.
