I think that is what he means.  If you limited the competition to only upgraded cards, only a small niche of players would compete.

i guess this tournament will have alot rush decks / shrieker / pharaoh / lava golem / mono-life

im going to use a variation from rush decks (it will probably still seen as a rush deck as it has 30 cards.) this is win with good hand and loose with bad but i have too cuz otherwise ill get pwned bij upgraded rush decks (its 95% that i will get 2 bad hands in a row and im out of the tournament but its hopefull worth trying it )
