sorry if I am being stupid, but I just am not sure about the rules. ???

So if the person that I am playing against plays a graboid rush deck, then a pharaoh/scarab deck, would that be breaking the rules?  Even though graboids aren't  :time creatures they use  :time

OR

If I play a deck centered around fallen elfs, and then a deck with ffqs. Since both of their abilities use  :life, even if it is fed from the mark, it is illegal?

some of the comments are a little ambiguous regarding this.

EDIT: Ok, thanks for the clarification.  ^-^

Ignore the comments if they confuse you. Ability cost has never counted for defining a deck. Graboids are cards from Earth. Their ability cost is completely irrelevant. Neither of the situations you describe are illegal.

So I will get an auto lose of the whole match if I use a 12 element rainbow in the first game?

makes sense, but what if someone decides to go rainbow with all 12 elements, or use some weird 6-element semi rainbow for the first two rounds? according to the rules, since the person used all elements, s/he has no deck to play afterwards.

the rule needs a fix. change it to mark or primary element (the element with the most cards in deck) or something.
Then they lose. Why is that a problem, and why would the rules need a fix? You have 12 elements to work with, here. There's not even any need for rainbows.

However, confirmation would be nice, since, as I said, I struggled with this in my first tourney.
Says "Any mark" in the rules. Should be as clear as it can be.

ok sorry, i just wanna know if we can use the same mark. sorry for the confusing example, but how bout the air nymph? and duos?
Any mark at any time. Any creatures. What they produce or turn into is irrelevant. If you use a duo, you can't use those two Elements in the same round again.
You have to have three different decks that do not share any Element. Ability costs and marks do not define the Elements of a deck, nor does it define whether it's a mono/duo/trio, etc.

It depends, if your first game is a prelim with best of one there's nothing wrong with a 12 element rainbow ;)
