to clarify, you can have duo, trio, quartet, and even rainbow, BUT, you must have one main element that is 66% of your deck, you may have any mark

Not really, you could easily build a mono deck (you don't have to use off-element cards) or a trio, the off-element cards you can have don't all have to be from the same element.

Yes, you can. Off-element cards are optional and you can use any mark.
