- You must use different Marks in every fight with the same opponent. You may use the same Marks in different rounds against different opponents.
- You may use any cards any time; none upgraded of course.

Upgraded cards not allowed --> quite literal.

Any cards any time ---> You may switch decks every round and the decks can include anything, even shards (well... they have to be unuped though). It just doesn't mean that you need to use one deck using three marks.
