Ghostal could probably rape aether (last round it did 3-1) or that light pool.  Entropy's butterfly effects would pose problems for it, though.  I used ghostal against light in a previous round, and the only problems occurred when my opponent got one of two steals.

As requested by 10, I tested our 30 card poison dial vs a fully upped 30 card Mono :aether.

I went 2-4 at first before I adjusted the strategy and ended 10-5.

Even with the aether deck fully upped (which it shouldn't be next round...), it's easily beatable if you use the Sundials to accelerate the draws, I generally waited to be down to 50/60hp before starting to chain the dials, accumulate Poison and hoped for the oh-so-important fog shield to show up as early as possible.

It's definitely an option for bjessee, but he'll have to do some simulations to get comfortable.

RT's are useless in that matchup... other card ideas?

Remember that we need 50% time cards, so we can't remove the reverse times unless we add other time cards in their place.  Most creatures won't be of much use due to the dials.  A time nymph would be useful since it can still draw cards.  The fate egg might even conceivably have a place; it might turn into something with a useful ability.  An hourglass or two could also be a possibility.

If the fog is that important to victory, and we don't need it elsewhere, maybe we could find room for it here?  It would be awfully difficult to squeeze in, though; the deck's already very tight as it is.

The more I think aboot it... why not throw FF vs Higs with a few nymphs and go ahead and take her out... put the fear in everyone next round?
BJ, I know that you want this one, but we can achieve so much with this move... drama and a win...

Oh, there you guys go again! No problem for me, I'll just add aether drama to all the earth complaints I already have to read til the end of War... let them throw me in the fire and burn me like the heretic they consider me to be! :D

For the fun of it, I suggest we make valuka sub it: "ah, it's not ffun, it's just valuka subbing this time" and then... bam! he uses his 2 time nymphs to surprise them! :P

But seriously, I'm not sure there's enough time quanta in there to play the nymphs and use it's ability consistently (that's 10 time quanta for the 1st precog use). ITR, what are your thoughts after testing this?

Even though I think it would really be a lot of ffun to sub again, we might have to chose another match for that because there's not enough quanta production for several or even one :time Nymph the way our Poison Dial is built now. Fate Eggs would probably be more suited to replace the RTs that are useless vs mono :aether.

Btw, bjessee brought to our attention that :aether might still be able to build a Bonebolt...

And nice deck, Valuka, this :time it's even legal ;)
