Round 6 - Strategy https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=26207.msg332907#msg332907

With Gl1tch gone and so much else on our plates we really haven't had time to do this - I think its key if we are going to survive a couple more rounds.

We get 2 teams that have vault trouble this round I think - and UW as well.

Let's break it down:

:air Team Air
They have 3 matches this round :earth :underworld :time
They have only 2 decks that survived intact from the previous round
1) A flying Titan deck they ran against UW
2) A flying arsenic deck they ran against darkness

Analysis
Most of their decks this round are flying weapon decks - the exception was their nova UG deck - which leaves them with some hard salvage choices. I expect that they will not be running a flying weapon deck against us - I do however think a poison stall deck likely - I don't think they risk it against UW, who is likely to run purify just in case and earth has SS as a solid counter. Their other option is to recover UG and try to kill us that way and stall with wings.

Conclusions
I think this is a good fit for our nova deck - it can take both Reflective Shield and purify - and still run fractal scarabs as a means of CC

:earth Team Earth
Earth has 5 matches this round :water :death :underworld :air :time
They had an average last round going 3 - 3 (this should hurt their vault only 18 cards not in play)
1) A graboid, RT, Sanc - trio deck
2) The discord deck they ran against us
3) And a nova graboid deck they ran against death

Analysis
They still have a fair bit of flexibility - being able to salvage either wings or poison - and EQ is still available depending on their salvage. All that said - I don't think they have the cards to rush any more - at least not without hurting themselves in other areas. I don't think they have much healing left - besides Stone Skin. So long as we play in such a way as to deal with EQ I think we can net a win here as well

Conclusions
I don't know what to play - I'm tempted to say GotP simply cause I feel like we have a better chance at winning and therefore keeping a deck I really like.

:underworld Team Underworld
Team underworld only went 4-4 last round - as strong showing but weak enough they too only have 5 opponents :aether :fire :earth :air :time
Of those they have to see us as the weakest threat - on top of which I think it unlikely they planned a counter deck to us in their vault this war
Here are the decks that survived last round:
1) Rainbow Rush - including quint, sanc & purify (against :death)
2) Dragon OTK deck - stalling with Sundial
3) Nova-Immo deck - I really like the deck - but it's hard countered by RT (unlikely to be played against us)
4) Poison Wings - a solid deck run by their General

Analysis
Given this list and because I'm running out of time - my expectation would be they either play the OTK Dragon or the Poison Wings against us. GotP counters the wings deck quite well with its steals and Nightmare (I think this deck is the stronger of these decks and will likely be played against a stronger team) Any of their other decks are countered well with our gravity deck running Black Hole. So that is a possibility as well.

Even if you are no longer actively playing please feel free to join the conversation - even if you haven't participated yet

agaisnt earth i say we use a dev dragons to there fullest and let you jen run them plus reverse times and whatever else we have left. so kind of like that nova dragon deck we ran in way earlier rounds?.

snoweb- NIGHt ghost it one last time and it shall win again but we do need to modify it a little.

me- gravity time duo with blackholes i like it :D scarabs are my friends.

REMEMBER we have to use 105/108 of the cards we have remaining so its gonna get tough.
The Devil what more is there to say.
