That discord deck doesn't have 15 time cards in it with the deflags.

Devouer/scarabs/emp bond can't be used against gravity (Oty, Grav shield.) So that pretty much leaves suicide or flying eternities.

Are you referring to me? Or your match-up?

I agree that flying eternities would work wonders against :gravity, but I'm not sure if you or Roz should take it instead (unless :earth has earthquakes to kill you otherwise), considering that you guys are both facing :earth. I'm trying to see if there was a way to have one suicide deck against :earth (and give them otherwise not-so useful cards) and one win (so that we can try to salvage some cards to make another deck instead).

Otherwise, you're right that Devourer wouldn't work against gravity alongside any deck with scarabs. I suppose discord or the flying deck would work against gravity, as the dragons/eternities have enough to HP to avoid an early Otyugh, but low enough to pierce through gravity shield (unless they take something like :fire shield instead, which would screw everything up).

Ok, thanks for noticing... I replaced 3 time cards with deflags without counting afterwards...

fix't

I had to add one random card (a pillar as a distraction against :earth  :P ) into one other deck so that the last 2 decks are legal.

Referring to your match.

The discord deck is slow, and it's really prone to bad draws(especially with random deflags in it.). It'd be a risk to use it against gravity in hopes that one deck can stand up to earth. Although, as far as chances go, flying eternity is our best bet against earth.

Roz said he needed another eternity, he has a day to get it if we're seriously considering going against earth with it, otherwise pressure is on me :/ I'd take a suicide if he can get his eternity.

I'm pretty confident in thinking that earth already has all our decks picked out and posted and is trying to prepare for anything we can throw that them. We've already played a flying eternity deck with animate weapons and devourers, so they know we are capable of using it. Whether or not they see it coming since they were used by Xinef as animates is another question.

I think the entropy deck has to be used against :light. Earth will beat it easily, :fire can deflag discord/dis shield, gravity might beat it with momentum and render it useless with it's CC, darkness also beats it easily a number of ways...

And it's a risky, relatively not so good deck, so if it loses, at least we support :light which might be able to beat :earth at some point ;) (Go LIGHT ftw!) ;P

Heh, I suppose your reasoning is correct. ;) Against :light, even if we do lose, I'm okay with them winning (in fact, they might have a few tricks up their sleeves considering they pull off a 6-0 last round  :o).

The problem is, who uses the Scarab decks? Xinef and bojengles77? I can imagine that bojengles77 would probably do well with the fractal scarab combo, because he would just eat all of the creatures that appear on the field (and be immune to multiple rain of fires, if possible). Xinef would have to worry about Steals, so anything with shields would be a disaster (except maybe the discord deck? If he steals Discord and scrambles your quanta, you'd actually be able to use Explosion against UsernameLife).

I'd really like to use the scarab deck if thats possible. I tried it last game and it didn't work against :fire because they were expecting it and countered it perfectly. They won't think we have another scarab deck since they just got rid of ours, so i doubt they will counter it. Pretty much fractal scarab should win 75% of the time against :fire, i say we hit them with it again.

Ok, the first version of 'who plays what' is visible in the first post... I still see some problems with it though...

- Belt can be countered with a single titanium shield.
- I'll have problems if UsernameLife plays a devourer before me.
- Someone with a fire nymph has to play the suicide deck.
- I cannot play the life deck... I've noticed I don't have a single druidic staff -_- (otherwise, I'd switch my deck with Belt's)...

any suggestions?

Does anyone want to fill in for Belthazar666? I'll cover for him soon, unless someone else thinks they have a better chance with the deck in question.

I'll sub in for you Belthazar666. <=) I'll give it my best shot against earth! ^^;

Well, just saw the news. Not like I'm too surprised, honestly. Pretty much all our cards were known, and titanium shield is really handy :P
