It seems this round will indeed be easier, but we'll have to try harder to build some good decks with the cards left. I'll be fighting Gl1tch, so another epic battle ;)

We get to salvage 6 cards from the game I won, right? I'm going to work on a deck with 6 from there and from what we have left.  When does the vault get updated with lost/salvaged cards?

I guess when Rozpierdalator is done with Gl1tch, so we know all cards we lost and we know all decks we can salvage from.

As for cards to salvage, I'm pretty sure we should take those 3 deflags. We also lost our RoFs, so that one might help. As for the 2 remaining cards, dragons are obviously too expensive in quanta (and devonians are better anyway), Fahrenheits also won't work, so I guess we're left with firebolts. Or pillars.

We still have that fire nymph rage potion anubis deck, so we can use cards from there. A :time splash :fire with deflags might also work against some opponents.

So we went 1-5 first round right? eek. When will the vault be updated with our discarded / salvaged cards?

Lol... I answered your question in my previous post, before you even asked it.(Probably because Belthazar666 asked it earlier, but ignore this fact)That's a nice feat for a time traveler :P

Anyway, so far we are 1-4 and Rozpierdalator will be fighting Gl1tch today.

Hooray for us getting 2-4! (...)

Even though this round is going to be more difficult, I'm thinking for my fight against Mastermind79, I'd be willing to take either a Discord deck (I don't think he'll be expecting a :entropy / :time duo) or a pure mono-time dragon rush with a couple of Anubis (:aether mark) to protect against plagues and infections from :death creatures. But then again, that's my idea of what I'd want.

What do you guys think? Since you're going up against the master of :life (who apparently is having second thoughts about his position as the master of :life, considering his recent post on the trials page (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,6539.msg95830.html#new)), you get final say Xinef. ;)

I wouldn't recommend the discord deck because he might go poison. Dissipation shield does not protect from poison, discord wouldn't help much because poison is cheap, rewinding also would be of little use. Thus dragon rush seems good. Or a pharaoh deck (better against bone walls).

Pharaoh+Anubis seems reasonable. Thus you splash :aether, so you might take lightnings, phase shields or a fractal (though I guess we might use fractal scarab for someone else).

I wonder if I could make a flying eternities deck against Gl1tch, because I can use upgraded Animate Weapon, so I could splash anything else than air. For example gravity to eat his frogs with scarabs. Or life for bonds.

Maybe I'll try flying eternities + pharaohs + bonds against Gl1tch? Rewind his creatures + heal back any damage left? Sounds good.

If he takes permanent destruction for this round, he will probably take less creature control, so pharaoh rush should work. I'm just worried a thorn carapace could be deadly.

I'm starting to think we took way too many time cards, and we're not versatile enough. Those losses are really going to hurt us...  For instance, 12 procrastinations aren't really practical.

2 possible poison decks is really what's killing us, though. We don't really have any counter to poison. Also, don't have anything to counter phase shields... (Maybe a phase shield deck of our own to counter-stall and rewind?) Guess this is just going to require a bit of thinking.

Devourer deck might be able to beat water if they go for a poison deck...

True; poison is :death's best friend, and since we have no purifies, I guess messing up with his quanta pool wouldn't do much via Discords/dissipation shield - maybe that would be better suited for Rozpierdalator, since :aether would be screwed without the required :aether quanta for what they need to do (unless they use a phase-shield stall).

I could probably work with the Pharaoh + Anubis combo (especially now that I have 6 non-upgraded Pharaohs within my access!), so I'll try to see what deck I could make with the cards in the vault. As for the flying eternities deck - I'm thinking about what he's going to do this round now that his team lost a significant amount of cards ( :life went 1-5 apparently), and after looking at their decks, they lost these cards from their :life aresenal:

36x Emerald Pillars
12x Forest Spirits
6x Thorn Carapaces
12x Emerald Dragons
6x Horned frogs
6x Rustlers
3x Heals
3x Empathetic Bonds

(Note: this includes Gl1tch's lost cards). Also, unless they took a plethora of Thorn Carapaces (Anothebrother had 1 in his deck here (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,7799.0.html)), I don't think you should be worried about those. They might have Emerald Shield instead (which will probably hinder your ability to damage him well). If he does have a Thorn Carapace, your rewind ability, plus the Scarabs' swarm passive should keep the reflective poison damage at bay while you nom nom away.

EDIT:

@Belthazar666: I don't know about that, I still think took too many non- :time cards (we've lost :light, :earth, some :life and :fire) when I look at the battles, but then again, we still have plenty of cards to use, so I think we'll be okay.

Devourer's would work against :water if they chose to splash :death mark and use other water creatures to attack. The problem is whether or not they'll be using that strategy against a tougher opponent - they're fighting against :gravity, :light, :fire, and TWO :darkness opponents, which they'll probably be more worried about.

...actually, wouldn't it be funny if they prepared against the :darkness competitors using a mono-:darkness drain while we pulled off the same thing as well? XD

As for Phase Shields: one word - Deflagration.

I think i'm gonna go for the fractal scarab deck this round against fire. No permanents to destroy that matter, creature control does little against my swarm of little monsters who will get big hp anyways. It'll counter and super-perm control deck or any super creature control deck. Also, with gravity as my mark, I can eat his dudes if he uses some kind of golem rush. 1 hp monsters? k thanks nom nom. Even if he gets one or two past me, if i fractal i should have atleast 6 hp scarabs so that gives me a couple extra turns of leeway

Oh crap, I won't be able to build a deck in the time frame.
I have no computer access at weekends.I'd expect to be facing a :water/ :death deck.
