I'm not really sure what i meant either. I guess i was just asking if we needed to build more decks using cards of those elements, or if you wanted us to build a deck that would counter those elements. IE a deflag deck to counter a mono aether deck, or a time deck with half time / half aether. I like how the decks are looking so far, and +karma for the organizational skills, xinef. I think all in all we put together some pretty solid decks.

thats going to be one of our strongest decks i think. i was reading the war rules and it occurred to me that we NEEDED a discord deck, so i rushed back to the forums to see if we had one. If possible, we might want to add 3 more discords for a second set of this deck, because there will be tons of mono/duo decks we are fighting. I think entropy has an innate advantage in this sense. If not, no big deal because we have lots of other strong decks. But xinef, if you feel one deck is not pulling its weight, i'd reccommend another discord deck. I used one in the last tournament and the only reason i lost is because I tried another deck that worked out poorly in the later rounds.

Anyways, just trying to make sure we're ready to get going!

Although adding more discords wouldn't hurt us (since that deck is one of the strongest), I think that it'd still be useless against :darkness (who would have devourers converting our quanta into theirs anyway), :fire (immolation), and :entropy (ironically enough :P). If you do add 3 discords Xinef, I suggest removing 3 deflags (since we're excluding all the cards in the decks), but that's just my opinion.

When I was trying that discord deck (against AI3) it usually either worked wonderfully, or failed miserably. If you don't draw a discord early, opponent has deflags or steals (extremely powerful against discord), or he manages to play a phase shield (blocks discord) it's usually game over.

Also, adding 3 discords would also require us to make simply another entropy deck (15 more entropy cards), so we'd have to take more entropy pillars (needed to play a discord as early as possible) and some use for the extra :entropy so it could be a fate egg mutation rewind deck or a copy of this dissipation shield deck.

Still, I think we should go for versatility rather than duplicating decks. I'm pretty happy with what we have so far and I think the best we could change right now would be to test these decks and tweak them. Sadly I don't have time for that, so if you could test and tweak these decks before the Vault is closed it could help a bit.

What I am afraid the most is if other elements build good counter-time decks with permanent destruction, quantum denial, a rush of immortal or cheap creatures etc.

So far, I've tested the scarab fractal deck, lava golem immolation deck, AND stall/deja vu/dimensional shield deck against a pure mono-darkness.

They all failed - either due to bad draws, or the other guy (hopefully he's not on another team) getting his devourers out really quickly. It's frustrating, and the only thing that could probably counter that would have been the discord deck, but I don't have enough discords to test it out. The decks do okay against AI3 and a few random pvp opponents, but damn, I could even out-rush him with the fire-time duo (lava golems/immolations). :( maybe I suck, or perhaps he was lucky (I also lost a game where we apparently desynced), but whatever.

I just hope that the matches in the war aren't so lopsided towards those who have those distinct advantages against us (quanta denial and permanent destruction - creature rushes tend to fail against dimensional shield/procrastination and also lava golem/rain of fire rushes).

so that the mark is time. I played a few games and i found the fire mark did very little for me, while not drawing a time tower could screw me over for the whole game. If i have nothing to immolate, I have no quanta. Testing is still in the works, but what are your thoughts on this?

Oh, right... I totally forgot immolations are 0 cost and they screw auto-mulligan. I guess I never drew no towers when I tried this deck a few times, but yeah, definitely a time mark could help.

Make any changes you find necessary (and possible with the vault), I tried to tweak this deck a bit before posting it here, but I had little time, so do whatever you deem necessary.

Unfortunately Tim and air both have two master matchups first round  I'm not so worried about miniwallys abilities just that he'll have ( probably) 6 pests immune to my rain of fire. If he chooses that path I'm screwed
