Balancing is based on pvp, instosis(assuming your referring to it) isn't that amazing of a pvp deck.

When pve is unbalanced the AI decks/AI brain is changed.

Instosis is amazing in that it's fast and that you cant stop it once it starts (because you're already dead).
The only way to beat it is to outrush the sundials or deny its quanta. Everything in between (slow domins, stalls) is crushed.

Instosis counters include. It is a pretty sensitive combo that is good because it takes advantage of the AI not using perm control on sundials instead of the hourglasses.

the new wording is confusing, - "The target creature's skill cost is now zero.  :time creatures can use their skill twice this turn." I immediately went and made a Fate Egg deck, imagining I would play a shard of readiness  and then make 8 creatures out of 4 fate eggs. Unfortunately it only affects the targeted creature, which meant  I got only 5.  :( Perhaps the wording should be "The target creature's skill cost is now zero. If it is a :time creature, it can use it's skill twice this turn."

ETA -200th post yay!
LOL I think the description is fairly obvious. Why would 1 card used on 1 creature allow ALL your creatures to be effected? Also, it was talking about the target creature originally. Why would the 2nd half change?

I think the fact that it even works on Fate Egg is messed up. They are supposed to TURN INTO something else; thus the egg is gone. Why would it make sense they are still arond to use a skill again? That's silly...
While experimenting with a mono time deck, I found that SoR's do double up the creatures spawned from Fate Eggs.
1 Fate Egg + SoR + 0 Doublemint  = Twin Nymphs.

Good fun!

Update:
<-----
I changed my forum pic to my favorite card. Hehe. :)

And I acctually tweaked my Mummy/RT deck to disclude :time generation (other than Nova, which is enough for Rewind), instaed of :gravity, allowing me to make better use of :gravity cards I like. Just a different way to looking at things and I really like it.

Obviously, SoR allows Scarab decks not to need :gravity but I like :gravity. ^^

The thing I like about this shard is that it can be used with almost any deck to a good advantage.  Plus it gives a significant advantage to its element.  Also its not too OP except in certain combos and why not.

This is somehow nerfed, which it doesn't really deserve. The first thing come to my mind is that Nova/RT/Mummy is dead. It is going to be hard with Instosis. It also discourage the use of SoR in other elements, despite it is already rarely used.

Rarely used? I disagree. Plenty of decks like Mono water Chrysaora, Steam Machine, all types of Nymph decks, etc.

I think the old SoR had two purposes: 1. to multiply the power of time creatures with abilities, 2. To provide a way for all other elements to pay for any creature ability no matter how expensive.

The new SoR only has the first purpose.

For the second purpose 4/3 :time + card just doesn't seem like a good exchange for a free ability. Let's take Purple Nymph as an example. On the first use, you trade 3 :time for 4 :entropy. Now the enemy gets a chance to use CC. If he kills the nymph with 1 card, you've netted 1 :underworld -1 card. So you are gambling that whatever you cast SoR on will get to use its free ability at least twice, just to break even. But that's not even considering that Nymph + SoR is a 2-card combo. It doesn't seem viable to me. It would be better to just adjust your quanta balance so you were generating more :entropy and less :time.

So this change makes SoR a lot less interesting. I would recommend that non- :time creatures should get to use their abilities once in the way that time creatures get to use their ability twice.
