Three-Man Team PvP
Original idea by: Demagog   |   Developed by: Demagog & majofa  |   Organized by: majofa

Battle it out with other teams using only 3 elements.

1. HOW TO SIGN UP?
Anyone with a forum and a chat account can sign up for this event. Start by reading the rules very carefully. Then sign up by posting on a separate sign up topic. If you cannot find a sign up topic, or if it is locked, this event is not currently active, and you will have to wait for it to restart.

Each player on a team selects a different element.

Each team then selects an element from any of the remaining 9 elements.

One member from the team will post in the sign up thread the Team Name, Players, and Elements of the team.

There is no maximum amount of teams in this event.

2. GETTING READY
The tournament format will be Double-elimination, Swiss style.

3. DECKBUILDING
Players build decks that can consist only of cards from their team, personal, and battle elements.  Battle elements are randomly determined before each matchup is posted.  Battle elements cannot be either players personal element or team element and will always be something else.

- Each deck may use 10 upgraded cards
- No 'Other' cards
- You may change decks between games
- You may use Pillars, Pendulums, Mark Cards, and Marks (quanta cards) that don't match your 3 Elements
- You must use at least 2 of your 3 Elements in each deck (If you use an element, you must use at least 4 non-quanta cards)
- You may not use the same combination of elements more than twice in a match (This refers to your 3 Elements)

The size of each deck is not limited, however a maximum of 2/3 of your deck can be from any single element.  This means all decks must be a duo or trio.  The spoiler below contains a table of the maximum amount of cards your deck can contain from any single element based on deck size.

4. MATCHES
Matches are best-of-5.

It's a good idea to either record the matches, or take screenshots as proof, in case something weird, like a desync error, happens. Remember, a player who gets caught cheating, will be permanently banned from all Elements community PvP events, so please play fair.

SUBSTITUTIONS
You may sub for a teammate only if given approval by the event organizer, and you can't sub for the same player 2 rounds in a row.

5. AFTER DUELS
All players must submit their results and decks in the Round thread.

6. WINNER
The last team standing is declared the winner.

7. REWARDS

"Matches are best-of-5." Can this be further explained? Does each player on the team play a best-of-5 against a player on the opposing team, and then whichever team wins two of those best-of-5s wins the team vs. team matchup?

That's how it's gone in previous iterations of the event, yep.

I'm thinking of changing the rule..

- You must use at least 2 of your 3 Elements in each deck (To count as using an element, you must use at least 1 non-quanta card)

to

- You must use at least 2 of your 3 Elements in each deck (To count as using an element, you must use at least 4 non-quanta cards)

Thoughts?

I agree too, because the older rule allows mono decks with only 1 dead card. With the newer rule, we must add 4 dead cards into mono decks.
And we keep driving into the night

I agree too, because the older rule allows mono decks with only 1 dead card. With the newer rule, we must add 4 dead cards into mono decks.
Key point being (besides agreeing and you're right) 4-dead cards actually starts to impact effectiveness of a mono / 30-card deck, IMO. I agree and am glad to see it changed. (Until I want to run a cheese-1-dead-card deck and have to use 4 during the event... 8) )

How could you play a mono with 1 or now 4 dead cards , when maximum from a single element is 2/3 of the deck cards?

I agree with the rule change btw , because in the past you could use the same duo deck  more than twice by adding one dead card and make it count as a trio.

Yes yes, my statement was made with DUOs in mind, not mono. I sit corrected.
