Broken Drums (Dragoon) 3 - 2 Bunny's FIR (Spielkind)

Mirror match!!!

Game 1 & 4 (Win & Loss)

Went with Ice Dragons instead of Fire Dragons because I was afraid of Lightning/RP and I wanted to be able to play Dragons/PUs as I got them if I had the opportunity. If he played Dims or Fire Stall, the plan was to chain 3 Silences with 3 Dragons/PU or 2 Silences with 4 Dragons/PU. Unfortunately, I didn't get any Silences in the first game and only 1 in the second one.

Game 2 (Loss)

I got a slightly bad quanta draw. Then I mis-played. I should have saved up for a Dim Shield instead of getting a Nymph out. But it probably wouldn't have made a difference since he was packing Deflags and had a pretty fast start.

Game 3 & 5 (Win & Win)

Not much to say here. Lots of shields + lots of CC in case of Deflags. Fahrenheit was the MVP. Fortunately he didn't play my weakness—Silences.

(Mega-Men's) Vangelios 3-1 deuce22 (Blue Ballers)

had absolutely no chance here without PC for pulvy. Spent a good 30 min explaining that to Vangelios. Kudos to him for making the pulvy-based rushes (7ttw -_-). Adding a couple pharoahs would have made it much more well rounded against hope, but it didn't matter in the end.

Game 1 - LOSS

Sorry team, I haven't pulled any weight in this competition. I lost 3-0 to plastiqe as well...

I really didn't expect you to use the exact same deck, good mind game on your part. Thanks for another lesson in PvP. Sometimes the learning curve is actually a curbstomp.

After two stalls, I figured ITR would expect me to keep going with them, so I switched to immoseraph.  ITR played an immophoenix deck :p  This one basically came down to cointoss; I went first and won by one turn.  If ITR had started with a nova, he'd probably have won, but he didn't have it.

It's truly sad when you completely predict your opponent and you still get screwed in the butt by RNG.  I figured he'd keep playing phoenixes since he had just had success with them, and he ran exactly the deck I hoped he would.  Two fire shields got blown away by two deflags, and his phoenixes rolled right over me.

Game 5: LOSS

I took the first deck I used (which I named in titanpad "Burn and freeze them ALL", yes, original I know!) and modded it for phoenixes, which I was predicting once more.  Instead, he plays essentially the deck I used in game 1.  My prediction wasn't very good, but I still had a decent chance if I could get my bolts, particularly the ice bolts to freeze his fahren, but I got one ice bolt and one fire bolt in the top half of my deck, and spent the fire bolt on a steam machine; the ice bolt froze his fahrenheit, which wasn't hard, given that I had like 60 water quanta.  All I could draw was quanta and squid :p  It wasn't the best matchup, but I would have had at least a fighting chance with better RNG, though without knowing his deck, I suspect it would be something like 40/60 for him.

GGs, and it was fun to play you.  I only wish I could have done just a little better... that's both rounds I went out in the 5th game, now :(  Having to play around the possibility of discord, bolts, and immorush made it very hard to build a deck that could be consistent across the board, and we ended up having a lot of RPS games.  Games 1 and 2 were no contest; game 3 was basically a mirror decided by coinflip.  Game 4 I still think I got cheated :p  Game 5 ITR definitely had the advantage in the matchup, but it wasn't a sure thing.

edit: because in game 3 I used 4 freezes, not 4 sancs.  (the 4 sanc version was one I had in titanpad but modded because I thought he'd use phoenixes, so I used freeze)
edit: because in game 3 i used pillars, not pends.  (this is what happens when you edit decks on the fly in events :p)

He started with a bunch of Poisons and an arse, I built up an army of critters.
I was ahead in the damage race, but then he got lucky and drew his 2nd RoF and a Deflag, killing all my offense and leaving him with 4 HP.

RNG likes strange randomness, so I played first a Dragon and fractalled a few Dev's after that.
All his scorps got bolted and when I finally achieved lockdown, I had 8 Poison counters. Dragon > 8 Poison, kev conceded.

Again heck of a tight match. He Poisoned me again quite early and played a few Mummys with Heartattack.
My Dragon took quite a while due to Quanta shortage, his Twin took even longer for the same reason.

I got 3 Gravy Pillars and 1 Aether Pillar, 1 Charger and 3 Psions in hand. Thanks RNG.
Even though my initial draw sucked, I still got a bunch of Pillars later so I had enough creatures to make it a tight game.

kev 3 - Kaker 1

Spoiler for G1:
Kaker somehow rushed me with psions and chargers.  I managed to firebolt a charger with exactly 10 quanta, double firestorm him with exactly 14 quanta, deflag his titan with exactly 3 quanta, and eke out a win with 4hp.

Jen-i 3 - 0 RavingRabbid

It looks like his decks were sillier than mine - we just played for lolz due to our teammates having already decided the match

Spoiler for Game #1:
Bone-Hope

against a Soul Catcher Bonewall deck he didn't have a Hope.

Spoiler for Game #2:
I wanna use Soul Catcher Too!

I built this deck on the fly merely because I wanted to play Soul Catcher too - I had an awful draw - lots of play mistakes and still managed to beat RR's Beasty RoL-Hope Deck (and I do mean beasty - 2 13 attack RoL are nothing to sneeze at) - RR just got awful luck in this match - no way I should have won it.

Spoiler for Game #3:
Let's Use 6 Arsenic and too much Death Quanta So that I can Lose!

Not really sure what happened here - I got an 1 pillar draw, an early arsenic (surprise surprise) and 4 Crusaders in my opening hand - once I saw Mindgate I laughed - he can't play my death cards, and the only light cards that deal damage are in my hand - I suppose he could have drawn a miracle - I figured he was running them himself, but I started with one of those in hand too

Decks may not be exactly as played - due to the game not mattering and building things on the fly I didn't keep deck codes
