With jmdt's unexpected departure from the Elements community, Jeni-i has agreed to replace him on Team Retirement Home (which ironically has had 2 members retire since the start of the event).

Higurashi 2 - 0 TStar

First game was a nailbiter, second was over before it began.

No real point in bringing Devourers against his elements, so I just went for Vamps. When I saw his deck, I figured it'd be Pandes, Miracles and Sancs, and I was very happy I had Fractal. It didn't let me down this time either, but only because he didn't draw more Miracles. Purple Nymph was a surprise, and he AM'd some Vamps before I drew another Lightning.

His stall was at 35 cards, and my stall beat a lot of offensive decks, so it felt like a good pick. He intended to change to a Vader Sader variant, but hadn't. Decked him out eventually, giving us much time to chat.
Still undefeated. I feel like I have the ultimate elements. <3

GGs Higs.  I hope this isn't the last time we have a chance to duel.  A true pleasure playing such a skilled opponent.

I was expecting fractal vampires at some point and I was it right off the bat.  Set up well with the Purple Nymph and a Miracle in the opening hand.  Stalled it out for quite some time even with her stealing 2 Sanctuaries before burning the Miracle.  Every time she got a fractal out I used Pandemonium to kill most of it.  Around the middle of the game she emptied her hand so I played the Purple Nymph and got a good half dozen vampires turned before she got a Lightning.  In the end she overtook me when I only had 6 cards left, 2 of them Miracles that would have sealed the deal for me.
Same deck.
I figured off a Fractal deck she'd come back with a Parallel Universe deck so I doubled up.  Or at least I'd like to pretend I planned it.  In reality I meant to use a Vader Sader type deck but I didn't click Import.  I don't think it would have made much of a difference in the end because her deck was far too large for me to kill off with all the permanents she had in Lobotomizer, Dimensional Shield, and Sanctuary.
Carpe Diem!!

I looked over RR's elemental combinations, and the most obviously strong deck that came to mind was Graboids, especially when paired with Ghost and cards like Earthquake and Eternity. So naturally, I played the hardest counter I could - Maxwell's Demon, Wings, and Discord. I got really scared when RR blew up all of my pillars and used Eternity to rewind my only Maxwell's Demon. But I waited it out and thought about a way I could prolong the game and try to find a way to win. I figured that if I was able to conjure up enough :entropy quanta and if I whittled RR's health down with Discord, I could drop all of my Demons and use my single Sky Blitz to win. It was really close, but it worked. :)

For game two, I knew that he wouldn't play the same deck twice, due to the fact that I had such a hard counter. I did know that there were very few creatures that could survive the combination of my Demons and Shockwaves, so I figured I'd roll the dice and try my luck with the same deck. It turns out I was facing Ghosts and Gargoyles (cheap spin-off game from the NES title?). Probably the only cards I was afraid of were a lot of Steals, Minor Vampires, and Dusk Mantle. Only one Steal showed up to snatch up my second turn Discord, which I promptly replaced. He didn't play out his creatures because I had three Maxwell's Demons out, so I was able to sit back and attack him down to 24 health. He used Nightmare to heal to 28, but I was able to play a fourth Demon, aim three Shockwaves at his face, and let Discord deal the final blow.

This was a very good match, especially the first game. Game one was literally the most epic battle of which I have been a part. Well played, and good decks, RR. I'm glad we got to play.

thaught he'd take a stall, his draw was absurd with 2 phoenixes and lycantrhope in the first turn. 0-1
second round:
same deck, he took the same evil rush with a brilliant draw...

Jen-i 2 - 0 nilsieboy

Both Rounds this was the deck:

I figured Firestall was my best option - and I figured nils knew it - so I ran a rush deck.

Game #1:
I got a perfect draw, 2 photon, 2 immo, 2 phoenix and a lycan - too fast for him to stop

Game #2:
An excellent draw, 1 photon, 2 immo, 1 phoenix & a golem - the lycan was drawn early too
