You should have warned him, jmdt..
Yeah, I didn't tell him that rule when I signed him up...Stupidest rule on the whole forum.  Already caused 1 top player to leave the game this event.  If its not removed, I bet this event (the most fun PvP event) sees a boycott in the future.

Since we're past a second extended deadline life becomes complicated, especially since this match is halting the whole event.

Even if Jmizzle were to lose outright, what would we do as there would be a tie situation; go :entropy and revert to a coinflip?
Lose. TStar lost, so it's 1-1 now.

Here is a really easy fix for the whole post editing fiasco:

Each member of a team must submit any and all deck codes to the PvP Organizer immediately before their match starts. That way the PvP Organizer has a copy of the code to match to the post in case the person actually does need to edit their post. If at any time the decks do not match what was sent to the PvP Organizer, punitive measures may be taken.

Here's another bonus with my proposal. Since the PvP Organizer would have access to the deck lists of each team for every round, it would be in the event's best interest if said PvP Organizer was not a player in his own event. Even without my proposition, when a PvP Organizer is playing in his own event, it creates a conflict of interest that potentially harms the integrity of the event. I'm not pointing fingers at anyone in particular, because this has been a practice on our forums that has bugged me for a very long time. It needs to stop. If we have a dedicated group of PvP and Tournament Organizers, then having a rotation would mean that no single person would get stuck having to run all the events without ever participating. [/soapbox]

Someone want to clue me in as to what the problem is?  I read the Rules posted here (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,11994.0.html) and I'm not really seeing what I did wrong.  As far as I can tell I didn't use any deck with more than 2/3 of one of the allowed elements, and I posted the battle results along with my decks and a summary of each match as was encouraged.  Now if there is some new rule that is not posted up there that I didn't follow I'm not sure why I'd be penalized for an oversight by the event organizer not posting a rule.
Carpe Diem!!

I make my first deck before the first game, 2nd deck after the 2nd game and 3rd deck after 2nd game. Adapting is very important (and I'm lazy and do speed building just as well). I find the rule useless as people can still cheat (they just have to pay a LITTLE bit more attention), but I hate that one too -.-

Wait, are you trying to say editing a post right after you make it isn't allowed?  You must be joking.  It's called fixing typos man.

Also, where in the damn rules does it say post editing is an automatic forfeit?  Cuz I sure as hell wouldn't go back fixing my spelling and grammar if the rules stated that.
Carpe Diem!!

Yes, editing a post that includes a deck you used is an automatic loss for the round. No exceptions.

Make sure your deck is EXACTLY what you played, you MUST keep codes. Any edits in the posts where you show your deck will bring you a loss.

Sorry, you checked the wrong rule-set.

Which thread?  I don't see a jijo made thread titled rules.  The closest I saw to a rules thread was the one I linked.

Here:

Make sure your deck is EXACTLY what you played, you MUST keep codes. Any edits in the posts where you show your deck will bring you a loss.

EDIT:  Ninja'd, rats.

However before this is discussed publicly any further, I'd like to remind everyone of:

ANY FURTHER DISCUSSION OF THE MATTER BY ANYONE (MYSELF INCLUDED) WILL RESULT IN AN IMMEDIATE BAN FROM ALL PVP EVENTS UNTIL THE END OF THE NEXT WAR..

(Was that visible enough for y'all?)

If you're going to quit, that's cool, just let us know.  If you have any further complaints, questions, or problems with how this little debacle was handled, blame me, PM me, and keep it out of the thread or risk the consequences.
I have a strange suspicion that with all the drama that's erupted during this event that an Organizer will set up a feedback topic to discuss the matter civilly.  And if this wasn't the original plan...consider this a formal proposal to start one later :)

However NO ONE should consider this as a good solution:
If its not removed, I bet this event (the most fun PvP event) sees a boycott in the future.
Since we've already seen exactly what happens (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,14874.0.html) when that kind of solution is made.

Even in the link you posted, its written in red at the very bottom of the OP. It is written in the rules, and rules are rules.

Could you please explain me whats wrong in me playing in the event? So far I don't see myself being unfair to anyone, hell i even gave my own team a loss, and I'm giving your team more time even though i haven't seen any of you (except jmdt) online at all in the week of the games.

I propose a slight change to that rule:

If a post containing battle results is edited after a set time (for example 5 minutes after the original post) then the player loses the match. However if it is edited before that set time (in other words just to fix a typo or something similar) then they do not lose the match.
