His discord and devourers slowed me down a fair amount but eventually I began to build up quanta. He was holding on to a bunch of cards, so I miracled when he was at ~10 cards and I had several more in hand. He conceded the game.

His second deck was just a bad matchup.  Nothing could be done.  I wish I could say GGs, wizel.  Better luck to Omega next round.

I was seriously expecting firestall - thus the first deck. I thought the second deck would have a better chance against a creature based deck - guess not.

Sorry to double post but I don't want to edit original (per some people's idea that it some how assures you that they cheated).


I wanted to add this is probably all my fault. I tested a lot vs fire/aether war decks. My decks seemed to work. But they are probably low on pillars. I stupidly thought that the devourers I was using would supply me with enough quanta to make up the difference. That assumption really bit me in the butt as I couldn't even get a devourer out within the first few turns do to lack of darkness.
