Looking over vagman13's list of elements, what stuck out to me that most of the creatures available to him were low in life.  Devourers, Gargoyles, Minor Vampires, Lycans (before evolving), Mummies......all have 3 or fewer HP.  That makes them vulnerable to the mass CC effects of Pandemonium.  I didn't expect him to go heavy on dragons out of fear of Earthquake and Discord and with Graboids available to me a simple Pandagrabby deck with Poison splashed in seemed like a good idea.  The first game he came at me with the deck that scared me the most in all our matches.  RNG blessed me and his Skull Shield had minimal impact and I had a great start.  I think he may have slow played his quanta out of fear of EQ when he saw my :earth mark and Novas.  I figured he'd expect Diseq at some point and I tried to use that to my advantage.  In the end this wasn't all that close.  I never played any of my Pandys or EQs so I kept alot of the deck hidden from him.
* First try he didn't get in
Turn 1 - Won toss. I play 2 Nova+2 Pends+Poison.  He plays a Death Pend
Turn 2 - I play Graboid+Poison.  He plays Poison
Turn 3 - I evolve my first Graboid and play another one.  He plays a Dark Pend+Skull Shield.  I curse at my monitor.
Turn 4 - I evolve my second Graboid to try and get as much damage on him before it gets killed and play another Pend.  He plays a Bone Pillar and 2 poison
Turn 5 - I do nothing.  He plays a Deathstalker and Arsenic
Turn 6 - I do nothing and his Skull Shield claims one of my Shriekers.  He plays another Deathstalker
Turn 7 - I do nothing.  He plays a third Deathstalker
Turn 8 - I still do nothing.  He plays a Dark Pend and Nightfall
Turn 9 - I win
Game 2: LOST

I figured he'd expect me to go back to Diseq and since his last deck was a pretty harsh counter for it I went with my stall deck.  I had a fairly decent chance of winning but I only drew 1 Poison the entire game, but I did manage to draw all my Titanium Shields, both Arsenics, and all but one Enchant Artifact before I was put away.  When I saw the :death :entropy duo I had hopes it might be Pandebonium and my deck was pretty strong against that, but no such luck.
Turn 1 - Lost toss.  He plays 2 Bone Pillars+Pend+Amethyst Pillar+Entropy Mark.  I played a Stone Pillar+3 Pends
Turn 2 - He plays a Pend.  I play Poison (the only one I get the entire game)
Turn 3 - He plays an Abomination+2 Mummies.  I play a Titanium Shield+Arsenic
Turn 4 - We both play nothing
Turn 5 - He plays a Bone Pillar.  I play nothing
Turn 6 - He plays an Amethyst Pillar+Purple Dragon.  I play Plague
Turn 7 - He topdecks a Bone Wall, which proved to be critical to his victory.  I play nothing
Turn 8 - He plays another Entropy Mark.  I play Stone Skin to stay alive.
Turn 9 - He plays Discord.  I play another Stone Skin to live.
Turn 10 - He plays an Abomination.  I play a Stone Pillar and a third Stone Skin
Turn 11 - He plays and Amethyst Pillar.  I play nothing
Turn 12 - We both play a Pend
Turn 13 - He plays a Purple dragon and defeats me

In planning for this match I told my teammates that vagman13 would use a :entropy :darkness Lycan/Devourer duo at some point, so I went back to Pandagrabby to try and troll it.  Mission successful.  Pandamonium pretty much kept the field clean with my Shriekers safely burrowed and I cruised to an easy victory.  I'm guessing he may have slow played quanta again out of fear of Diseq.
Turn 1 - Lost toss.  He plays a Pend.  I played a Nova+Poison+2 Pends
Turn 2 - We both play nothing
Turn 3 - He plays a Devourer.  I play a Graboid
Turn 4 - He plays a Devourer+Lycan.  I play Pandamonium which kills 1 Devourer, poisons the other, and PU'd the Lycan.  I then evolve my Graboid and play another one.
Turn 5 - He plays an Entropy Mark+Devourer and evolves his Lycan.  I play a Nova and evolve both my Graboid and Lycan
Turn 6 - He plays a Devourer.  I burrow both Shriekers and play Pandamonium which hits both Lycans with Lightning and kills both his Devourers
Turn 7 - He plays Discord+Gargoyle.  I play Nova+Pandamonium, which RTs all 3 creatures and then I unburrow my Shriekers.
Turn 8 - He plays the Lycan that was RT'd and I beat him on my turn.
Carpe Diem!!

I knew going into the game that I would struggle if he played cloaks - but I counted on getting damage in earlier and on slowing him enough with EQ for it not to matter too much. That's not what happened.

Turns 1 thru 3 neither of us played anything - turn 4 I EQ'd two pillar stacks and turn 5 played a dragon. Unfortunately he'd played both the dagger and the duck by then. I lightninged one Ghost and waited to draw something other than pends - He cloaked dropped damage and 2TKO'd me.

At this point I knew he'd either skipped out on steals or on rewinds to get the deck to work - unfortunately not knowing which one meant I had to gamble on which he could counter or I had to play something that ignored both. The deck counters cloak quite nicely.

Again early game had both of us sitting around looking at each other - he dropped the stiletto again around turn 4, the turn before I dropped my first dragon. He got duck turn 6, the turn before I played my second dragon. When he cloaked this time I was ready, thunderstorm and 3 shockwaves later those Ghosts of the Past were well ... Ghosts of the Past - a clear field meant good times for me. Unfortunately Duck Mantle held up like a superstar, blocking 10 of the first 12 attacks - but once I played my third dragon it started to fail - twice in a row all three dragons went through. Right around ten cards left he cloaked again and played two more Ghosts, I dropped thunderstorm - but hadn't drawn a single other CC card.

MVP of the Match - Dagger & Duck early both games

After reviewing the hard evidence I am forced to rule the unplayed match between jmdt and majofa as a double loss.  Both players were equally active in attempting to set up a match in the evidence provided and both players were present in chat during the ambiguous timeframe listed.  Since this results in neither team getting the necessary 2 wins to advance, this matchup results in a double forfeit.  I have provided the evidence to an independent PvP staff member for review to ensure that this ruling is consistent with the rules and evidence provided and not biased, and this staff members agrees that it is the correct ruling in this situation.

To determine which team will forfeit this round and which team will auto-forfeit the next one, a coinflip was done.  Higurashi and willng3 assisted to ensure fairness.  The result was that UberDudesFTW will take the immediate loss and magmanfu will be given the loss in the next round.  A screenshot of the proceedings was taken and if either team has an issue with the cointoss I will be happy to provide it.

This is a situation that emphasizes the risk of waiting until the last possible moment to play your match.  Autowins are granted only when one player is clearly more active than another, not to the last player to miss a deadline.  Players are strongly encouraged to play their matches as soon as possible to avoid unforseen problems that may arise.  It is also strongly advised to keep records of all relevant conversations via forum or chat and to send copies to the organizer in case there are any conflicts.  It is also strongly encouraged to set specific deadlines that include a specific date and time and not generalized ones like "in the morning" or "sometime tomorrow" as this leads to situations where both players are technically correct at times.
Carpe Diem!!
