So, this were two games were RNG said: screw you.

But then, starting hand: 4 darkness pendulum, 1 flying weapon, 1 toadfish, 1 ice shield
With 13 cards drawn, I still hadn't drawn any air pendulums, nor darkness cards, FUUUU
When I finally drew an air pendulum (which allowed me to use my toads ability), he already had 3 devourers out, and he started drawing his earthquakes. On his second to last turn I sat there waiting and hoping his devourers would leave my 6 water quanta alone, which would allow me to save my but with Ice shield (provided he had no steals). I have 40 hp's by then, and CCCombobreaker had 3 devourers and 3 dragons, but, it wasn't to be, he last devourer decided to eat a water quantum. Then for even more RNG screwage I drew my darkness dragon, but by now I only had 6 darkness quanta left (I have been above 10, but well, earth quake and devourers had lowered that). In my hand on my last turn: Owl's Eye, Arctic Squid, Ice Shield, Darkness Dragon, Flying weapon. HP's left for him after my toads had damaged him: 4. Quanta: 6 darkness, 5 water, 0 air. FUUUUUUUUUU.

First try: 2 water pendulum, 1 water pillar, 1 darkness pillar, 1 darkness pendulum in start hand, but CCCombo was never in that game, so I went out and started searching again.
Second try: 3 darkness pillar, 2 darkness pendulum (or 2/3, don't remember). I already knew he was using Devtal, so I just played these and hoped for more water pendulums/pillars along the way. My first darkness dragon got bolted, the second got bolted two, then I drew a water pillar, but by that time the devourers were in place, and I ended the game without quanta and with 4 ice dragons and a sky blitz in my hand laughing me in the face. CCCombobreaker got scared and asked me if I was going to nuke his 20 devourers and 2 vamps with three thunderstorms, but I didn't have these in my deck. (would have been an epic thing to do though).
Worst part: if I had drawn only air pendulums I would have won the first game (because I could have used my toads infect to kill the devourers, and could have played my owl's eye, and used those together to kill everything).
If I had draw only water pillar/pendulums I would have won the second one too, because I was generating lots of quanta but I couldn't use it (never drew more than two dragons), and ice dragons would have survived a single lightning, 2/3 of these with a sky blitz would have been enough to kill him real quickly (unlike my darkness dragons, which got bolted before nightfall was in play).
