I got out 2 poisons and a phase spider. He had a Graboid he didn't evolve and a Gargoyle that got lightning'ed. The reason why he didn't evolve his Graboid became clear after he played his Cloak. It was only a matter of time and soon 3 Shriekers were banging at my door, they ripped through my HP. Meanwhile I was just begging for a shield, Bonewall would be best since I had more then sufficient quanta. Nothing came, just quanta and some damage. Last turn before killing me I was still hoping for a shield, I got a mummy however wich made a nice 9 HP killing blow. 1-0...

I specifically used this deck to counter EQ/Discord (did an awesome job in testing), wich I expected him to play 2nd. I was right, my happiness quickly faded once he got a 2 nova and 2 entropy pend starting hand, wich resulted in a 2nd turn Discord and a fast Graboid. I probably made a mistake by playing a 2nd aether pend cause I wanted to ramp up the quanta production vs discord. Cal EQ'ed that stack the turn after. Apart from some damage and a lightning kill I never got the chance to play a dim shield. I am a 100% sure that getting up one shield would have won me the match. He had no PC and I had enough shields in my hand to chain them. It was not to be however and my counter failed! 1-1

When I saw those darkness pends I knew I had lost. Discord/Lycan/Steal totally rips the dim shield apart. He played 2 devourers, 2 Lycans and a discord. Got my HP down to around ~30. I played an Arsenic 2nd turn (had to get some damage going, even vs a possible early steal) and some poisons. After scrambling a bit and Devourers sucking, I finally got my dim shield up. A Steal at that point would have sealed the match as I wouldn't have been able to play another shield. Steal never showed up for the party though and a 4 Lightning nuke brought me within killing range (see ss). 2-1

Great matches, they really got my heartrate up to an unhealthy level.

His draw was pretty fierce, mine wasn't too bad either, I got a quick trident and plenty of earth quanta to eventually smash through all the quanta cards as they popped up. I had two PAs in my starting hand but fortunately (unfortunately in the game because I had dead cards) decided seeing his elements that not showing them could set some lure for game2 so they got some juicy discard. I got my bolts really late and never saw a squid until the turn he quit. I had purify early and titanium came at a sensible time in the midgame. After a few skins and his death quanta in and around 0 for considerable amounts of time he conceded.

PU'd and bolted down 2 steamies and an octopus (pull ALL the lightnings) after that I thought I'd have the damage race in the bag but it would appear 10men is a player who sees the true value in freeze aswell as the squiddies. Lost by a decent turn's hp margin.

Spent an age and a half on the waiting screen sweating bullets. Shat a brick when I saw the fire mark, played phase when he was on 2 fire and hoped he'd have the style to wait for a fresh shield to break if he did have some deflagration in his hand, at fresh shield'o'clock I just ignored it and fractal bursted, crossed fingers that he had no bonewall in hand- it never came and it was over the following turn.

Interesting matches and I had a lot of fun. Thanks, ten.

Pretty good quanta start, was dreading a full rush death/entro discord thing but luckily he had maxwells and I got a titanium shield up before ANY damage took place or discord trolling ensued. I had more than enough CC for the dragons as they came out thankfully and I just produced more quanta than discord could cope with. Deckout win, he got a bonewall up before he got too banged up from Fahrenheit so bolting him down was not an option.

I was praying for no skull shields or pandebonium, and my prayers were answered: he was using the same deck again. I got lucky when his early discord left me earth quanta to summon a gemfinder and start the immolation rush. The CC was worth it's weight in gold as a rage potion took out an early maxwells and thankfully no bonewalls came out allowing me a speedy 7 turn win.
Great games with a great player, sorry for the wait leading up to the match. See you in the finals~

Basically, I didn't have enough damage to power through a firestall even though this won 80% in testing.  Early tit shield sealed my fate.

Panic'd when my hard counter lost and added more damage leaving myself more susceptible to immo rush.  Huge mistake.  1 Rage pot on Maxwell's + no boner draw > my deck.

At least Rember didn't stall me irl and keep me awake for an extra 3 hours to play this.... oh wait.
