Rush-beater Vamptal. Did well against Pandebonium in testing too, but it's up to the draws. I didn't draw what I needed, but it could've been pretty epic if I had gotten a Steal one turn earlier to build my own Bone Wall. Pande PU'ing my Vamp eventually gave Sot the win.

Devtal took care of Pandebonium and any stall. It also had a chance against DBH, which is what it ended up facing. Vamptal and especially lone Dim saved my butt due to Sot's damage being late and Momentum-less.

One of the scariest decks in the game if you let it do its thing. Sot didn't any choice with Pandebonium.

YoungSot 1-2 Higurashi
GGs Higs. I spent a long time preparing for this match, and could never seem to build decks that were consistent counters without being overly weak to the rest of your arsenal. I really thought I had you in that second match, but as you said, late damage (and no BE) allowed you to drag things out until fractal vamps turned the tide. So close. >.<
bringing the silence chain in the final match was a great move on her part, as it left me unable to shore up my BWs with the copious CC in hand.

I had low hopes of winning from the start, to be honest.  His elements meant he could rip apart all of my Fractal decks and kill my stalls.  It was this or Devtal, and I think I messed up by not playing Devtal.  Nightmare Phoenix was also the last thing I was expecting. 0-1

Game 2:  WIN
Exact same deck as before.
This came as quite a shock to me.  RoF blasted my first Fractal to pieces (as expected), but it appears that he just didn't draw enough CC in the end to finish me off.  Nearly decked out, zapped my own Vamps that got AM'd.  Not sure if any of my play decisions really increased my chances of winning here, to be completely honest. 1-1

Slight adjustments here to allow myself to counter a RoF/Pandemonium spam deck in the late game if needed.  I was expecting kev to create a counterdeck to Devtal, and I'd like to think that I predicted right or in either case got pretty darn lucky.  Not sure if kev got a bad draw here or not (1 Mark of Fire was all that was played for the first few turns), but after waiting a few turns he finally threw out an Ash Eater, Immo, Phoenix, Immo, Phoenix, Immo, Phoenix which caused me to understand what I was facing this time.  Unfortunately, I had 2 Lightnings waiting which crushed his offensive pretty badly after zapping his 2 Ash.  After that it was just a matter of playing more Vamps and building the quanta to play them, holding his Phoenix off the entire time.  I'd have to see his deck before stating that I made a perfect counter play here :\ 2-0

Good games kev.  My sincerest hope was that I wouldn't flop out with a wimpy 0-2 record due to perfect counters so I'm glad that these games were so intense for the both of us

G1 (W): Terribad draw by will.  I got out a bird early and he double bolted it until it died.  I managed to nightmare him a bit and found enough damage for will to not really get rolling.

Omg it's hard to find my fifth bolt or a second firestorm in a 45-card deck.  Who woulda guessed?  Will won with one card left.

Slow start on account of heavy ash eaters.  I finally got 7 and had to decide whether to immo and bring out 3 birds in one turn.  My super clairvoyance powers say will is NOT holding two Lightning Bolts and, well, I'll be keeping my day job.  These are the same clairvoyance powers that told me will wouldn't take vamptal three times in a row, now that I think about it.  Keeping three birds wouldn't have won it anyway, I think, but it would've been closer.

Attention whoever plays will in the future: will is among my favorite opponents because he'll write you a poem whenever he wins a match.  But you have to be really persistent when you ask for it.
