Winning the tournament isn't exactly my greatest concern (although it would be nice ). I'm really here for the experience this sort of thing brings, and the fact that I might be able to get my name out there a little more. Don't expect me to hold back.

I had hoped to see a bit more competition here!
If opponents are using the same deck (more or less) 4 times in a row I'd think you'd try to counter it somehow!

Unfortunately we haven't really been able to collaborate that much due to time zones and the like. The good news for me though is that I won't have to face that deck. The bad news is that instead of discords, I could be up against black holes.

Assuming they run the same sort of deck five times in a row, that is. But would they really do that?

I wouldn't use black holes?  With me, you never know.

Sorry jmdt, I ended up staying back at work this morning and only left at 2:10pm. I'll keep an eye out for when you're on, but like I said I'm available almost 24/7 at the moment.

And the Nobodies clock up their first win of the tournament (albeit in a dead rubber)!

Looks like jdmt had an ugly draw in both matches, and I simply charged on ahead for two quick wins.

Fearing an EQ/BH duo I figured the best way out would be to quanta deny him myself. Got a discord out on the third turn, whilst jmdt had only one gravy pillar and an earth pendulum out. Eventually my dragons started coming out to no response thanks to Discord and very few pends/pillars on jdmt's side. One of my dragons was BB'd, and a gravy shield and an Iridium Warden came out, but they were far too late by that point.

Wasn't sure what to expect in my second match, but figured I should drop the Discord. I managed to get a scorpion out before jmdt's third pillar and it was pretty much all over from there. Two more scorpions and a Titan sealed finished him off.

Bad luck jmdt, good to see some different deck types. It's a shame the RNG gods didn't give you a chance to play them properly.

Since we were up 2-0 I decided to try some more exotic, but competative builds for fun.  Unfortunately Helston's decks and play were superb and I was more or less massacred here.

0 jmdt - 2 Helston

1st game I ran a fat BB/grav shield combo deck with cat/armaggio incase deckout would not work, but with a 1 pend draw and turn 3 disord I only played grav shield, BB on a dragon and a warden.  I'd hoped to get out pulvy to nuke the discord, but never had the chance.

2nd match I ran a fireeater deck with bolts as a secondary win conditon.   I got a worst case scenario, my only pillars were 2 gravy pillars I saw that and realized I had 0 chance.  By the time the fire got out I was neurotoxined and only had growth critters against his rt's
