Did you both agree that game 3b was going to be a deckout before mrpaper quit the match?

Did you both agree that game 3b was going to be a deckout before mrpaper quit the match?

I noticed paper's turn timer counting down very low so asked in-game and then in IRC chat if he was still there.  The "I couldn't win b/c of game situation and it will be deckout result" was brought up during which timeout occurred.  This was right around the time that I mentioned due to Fire levels I could not 'win' a game by deckout.

Honestly, unless something blatant indicates I should have won somewhere during that Game 3, I am OK with leaving the result at 2-3.  If it is debate-able and borderline about how to rule/decide I don't want it to cause any undue back-and-forth.  I consider mrpaper a good Elements-friend and only provided the 'detailed report' to help provide fair results overall in Avatar (each match affects the overall event not just my W/L etc - refer to the banter about the "winning match" in first Avatar! :D).

I'm only asking because if he assumed it was going to be a deckout and quit the game it would result in a loss. If it's any of the other issues you listed, then it'd be a no-win situation as he had higher fire-bending than you. (The point being: you can't 'assume' your opponent can only win by deck and call it a draw)

Laxadarap 3-2 rem4life
Game 1: Was super close, but my deck ended up being illegal anyway.
Game 2: Slightly countered him, with great RNG on my side let me win.  Was still close though.
Game 3: Built a deck that could pretty much only counter his first deck.  Ended up playing something else, but still won with a slight counter + good rng.
Game 4: Same as match before I think, lost this time.
Game 5: Again, building to counter first deck.
5a) Get in, desynch error (using 2 cc on a pheonix and it not dying).  Probably was going to lose, but asked for a redo (at time of desynch and got it)
         5b) Invisible hand glitch
5c) Got in again, had the same desynch glitch (now realizing it was a bug).  Won the game, but gave him a redo because of game 1 issues, and it technically having
               the same problem.
5d) Final game of this series, he had a very poor quanta draw, and my denial was able to slow him down long enough for me to draw cc and damage.  Won fairly
easily.  Avoided desynch by not double cc-ing his pheonixes.
My signature is too messy to read >.<

Terroking 3 - 2 Zso_Zso

Very good games, I was never sure I had a win until the final turn as your decks were pretty good, and I had a number of bad predictions deck-wise. However I was able to build something to counter most of his options, and it did so.

Got thrashed by the RNG in a lot of matches where I felt I had 60/40 chances or better due to deck matchups.

rob77dp:  2
Calindu:  3

Match suspended at 2-2 pending time for both players being available to finish match.  Tentatively scheduled to be played about 23 hours from now.

EDIT:  Cal wins.  I went predictable and allowed a back-to-back same deck use to beat me :(  (there was 24 hours of pause in between the duels I guess).  Well done Cal.

Game 1 WIN
Spoiler for RoL/Hope II:

As Cal mentioned - he was not expecting RoL/Hope...

Game 2 LOSS
Spoiler for Parallel Psions:

Didn't draw enough PU - two all game.  Hoping for the third half-way through the deck in final couple turns to pull out a "parallel opponent soon-to-kill-me creature" to steal a win.  Didn't happen.

Game 3 WIN
Spoiler for Fractix:

Fractix speed can be quite fast - rushed out a win here.

Game 4 LOSS
Spoiler for Parallel Psions:

Spell damage right around the Hope shield.  Sadly, Golden Dragon are hard to CC and last-turn Sundial bought Cal the turn needed to generate :light to summon final-blow Dragon.

Game 5 LOSS
Spoiler for Fractix:
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]

Mid-game Hope meant no more damage from me due to :light creatures.  Debated two things prior to this that would have saved me:  1. RoF - decided against due to high summon cost slowing Fractix down (d'oh!)  2. Using Psion-fractal'ing RoL/Hope variant would have given at least a chance for me to win.

Calindu 3-2 rob77dp

Game 1: Overlooked a combo, paid for it.
Game 2: Misplayed, leaving him room to kill me, but he didn't drew a card that he needed.
Game 3: Rushed by a turn.
Game 4: Unexpected deck from me and unexpected win against what looked like a counter.
Game 5: Kinda countered him.

Ggs rob!
